Have yet to throw my Reax, Im saving it for the Orbdriller's Scratch tournament where I know there will be enough oil to showcase the ball. But it's just something about the dull all black that just hypnotises me. I love it. Makes me want a whole bag full at different surfaces.
Yeti might get ordered within the next week, I want to see the different between the pin up and pin down.
James-- I know EXACTLY what you mean; I have the first Reax, drilled pin down-- it's my "well, everything else goes straight on this pattern, I need someone that HOOKS" ball. Just purchased another one since they are being disco'd-- the ball is a winner, and I've never felt so confident throwing a shot as I have with the Reax.
Like you, the Yeti piqued my interest, so I bought 2-- Motion hole for one, and I'm not sure of the layout for another; the 3 ball line up of the Yeti's will cover 90% of the patterns most bowlers will face, and the price point really is affordable.
Good luck in the tourney-- I've got my Reax at box condition/surface; my next Reax will be a pin up layout, and we'll play with surfaces when we get there. I think it could be very playable at 4k for league patterns, but my OOB Reax is just too much for my league patterns. It took the place of my Nexus (the first one, pink/blue solid), and I didn't think a ball could handle volume like the nexus and still have energy to turn the corner down lane-- well, the Reax does, and its not even close.
Good luck, great scores, and enjoy the Radical family. I sure do (and they don't pay me to say that!)-
