Yeti Untamed w/Motion Hole
« on: July 12, 2014, 09:25:11 PM »
Since being on staff I have been able to try the other brands under Big B. I have had the chance to drill up 4 Radicals so far and this one didn't disappoint. I had a Motion Hole put in my Yeti. I loved the reaction and wanted to see how it would work with a stronger cover. This layout on this ball is amazing. The carry and overall reaction has quickly became one of my favorite layouts. I used the one with the pin beside the ring finger. This ball went thru the heads very well, read the mids slightly later, and came off the friction like a Mac truck. The carry I've gotten was unreal. I don't have a lot of hand, but this ball/layout allowed me to play angles I haven't played often. If you get a chance get a Radical piece and keep a few in your bag. The layouts and the things that cooking in the Radical lab is amazing. This ball has tighten up my med. area of my bag. It played sports as well as THS very well.

Maybe apples and oranges:

How do you think the motion hole would compliment the original grease monkey? I have NIB begging to get punched up.

What does this layout do to the performance of a ball in general? Does it start earlier/later?

Can/should I have the ball set up without the MoHole first, then throw it and re-evaluate?

I am wanting to try this layout, but have what seems like a zillion questions.

I have an Untamed, but I'm curious if anyone knows if this is a true solid or a hybrid? The ball's cover is different than any ball that I've ever owned. It seems soft, yet at the same time I also realize that it is not the strongest of covers. That said, I have mine drilled with an aggressive pin-up layout.
Ball speed avg. (18.25 mph)
Rev rate avg. (400-428 rpm)

timisu87:

Thank you for the link. That answered some questions I had for certain.

From the information and suggestions I have been ever so graciously given, I am going to get a Untamed and have set it up for Motion hole as well.

Sorry for delay. What I saw with this layout was decent length with incredible backend movement. I don't have a lot of hand and more up the back. This ball allows me to increase carry because of the movement it gives the ball. I wondered if I went with a solid would it go too long. I adjusted the surface and it handled the oil well. I have the Masterminds so I don't have issues with heavy. These Yetis fit right under my masterminds and I don't miss a beat. My coach and pro shop trainer Eddie Curtis who's a Big B rep suggested that I get the other one (unleashed) and do the same thing since he seen how well this layout with Radical's pieces work for me. Please get one and try it. It's God sent no question.

These comments are my point of views and not of Brunswick Inc.
