Experience the extraordinary with the Roto Grip Attention Star bowling ball. Unleashing groundbreaking core technology, this ball introduces the exclusive Momentous Core domestically, paired with an inner block design for unparalleled ball motion. Roto Grip's meticulous research led them to discover the perfect combination of block and slug density inside the A.I. Core, propelling energy dispersion through the pins to another level. The eTrax PLUS Pearl Reactive coverstock, identical to the successful RST X-2 formula, offers optimal front-lane push and impressive responsiveness to down-lane friction. This bowling ball redefines the game, delivering a reaction unlike anything else on Earth today.

The Attention Star has the original Momentous Core, previously only available in the international releases. It’s wrapped in the proven eTrax PLUS Pearl Reactive cover stock. This is an Asymmetrical ball in the Roto Grip HP4 line of balls. The box finish is reacta gloss. As always, the surface can be altered to suit a variety of lane conditions. It is an attractive Berry/Silver/Iron color.
I have used the Attention Star on a 41 ft. kegel house pattern, and a modified House tournament pattern.
I’ve thrown the Attention Star at the reacta gloss box finish, and haven’t made any surface changes. I’ve found this to be a very good ball on fresh back ends. Once the carry down comes into play, I can move out a couple boards and keep the ball playing well. As the lanes broke down, I was able to move back in and did not lose my carry. The Attention Star is very strong through the pins, even for a lower rev player. I am able to use this ball for all 3 games on league. My first set out of the box was 781 and i didn’t put it down at all during the evening.
The Attention Star has earned a spot in my bag every time I shoe up. It gets through the heads extremely clean and goes into a nice roll down lane. I highly recommend the Attention Star, and add a star if you’re a lower rev player like myself. Don’t miss out on this ball. You won’t regret buying it.

The New Roto Grip HP4 release brings a core previously featured in overseas releases stateside, wrapped in AI technology. The Momentus AV + AI core is wrapped up with Etrax Plus Pearl to give you one of the most responsive pearls ever seen in the line. All together these add up to the new Attention Star.
I tested the Attention Star for the first time in league. Our house shot while Longer and higher volume is very cliffed. On the fresh the cover tended to over-read the friction and under-read the oil as you would expect from a quick response ball on a 12 to 1 pattern. The attention star is much better for me game two when the fronts start to break down. Especially in my home center where the length and volume of the pattern tends to make the back-end tighten up a bit as well. Where this can give some balls fits, you can open up the angle with the Attention Star, let it see the friction to the right a little earlier and watch it tear through the carry-down.
I do feel that this ball is a little pattern specific, at least with the layout I chose, but it's definitely a combination of clean and strong that you can tailor to different styles of bowler with the right layout.

The Attention Star is Roto Grips newest HP4 ball. The AS features the momentous core wrapped in eTrax pearl plus. Ever since the UFO Alert was discontinued, I’ve felt like the SPI line has been missing a similar shape. When I was first told about the AS, I had high hopes. Those hopes were exceeded and then some. For me, the AS is a clone of the UFO Alert. I was able to throw the AS right on top of my Alert. Having thrown the AS a lot already, I can see this one being in my bag for the foreseeable future.

Roto Grip’s new Attention Star is an Asymmetrical Pearl piece that is good for Medium-Heavy Volume Patterns. PAP is 5 5/16 R 1 3/16 Up. Rev Rate: 400. Speed: 16.5. Drilled this piece with the Pin above the bridge, CG kicked out 1” from the palm. I threw this piece on a fresh house 43’ pattern. Out of box ball motion was clean through the fronts with a hockey stick motion on the backend. I compared this piece to the Roto Grip TNT Infused and the Infused was 2-2 right with a smoother shape on the backend. This piece is similar to the RST X-2. If your looking for a strong pearl piece with backend this is the ball to get.

The Attention Star is a Pearl Asymmetrical ball that I see working best on medium to med-dry conditions. The pearl eTrax+ cover on the Star is clean but still maintains traction compared to other clean pearl covers. It does a great job of getting through early friction without being hyper sensitive to oil down lane. The strong low rg asymm core compliments the clean cover by revving up and giving the Star a strong medium to medium-quick response motion. I have found that the Star is best when the lanes transition past big solid balls like the Magic Gem or Reality. The Attention Star seems like a unique shape that will always be in my tournament bag. Gives me a lot of UFO Alert and RST X2 vibes!!!! <3

Attention Star is the return of eTrax+ Pearl, which was featured most recently on the RST-X2. This ball for me feels like a bigger version of the Rubicon UC2. Uniquely, it revs up and continues like a lot of the other A.I. core balls. What I loved about the UC2 is the way it picked up the in midlane but didn't overrespond off the spot. The Attention Star builds on that and provides a similar type of motion but in a stronger package overall. If you miss the length and predictability provided by the Rubicon UC2 and RST-X2, the Attention Star is the 2.0 version of that type of shape, with all the latest and greatest in core tech that Storm has to offer!

Still looking for a replacement for your UFO Alert? Look no further than the Attention Star. The Attention Star is another ball featuring the new AI core technology. I tend to pull this ball out of my bag when the lanes are just starting to transition. When throwing this ball you will see that it is great at storing energy as it clears the fronts and makes a strong motion on the backend of the lane. If you are looking for a strong asymmetrical ball to fit in right behind your Harsh Reality look no further.

The Attention Star reminds me of the X2 from Roto Grip. We have a asymmetrical pearl with polish that is clean and provides plenty of shape down lane. This ball versatility fills a few spots for me. I can use this on the fresh where the fronts typically hook early and during transition when I look to open my angles up on the better lane surfaces and or higher volume patterns. If you enjoyed the X2 this would be a suitable replacement.

The newest addition to Roto Grip’s HP4 line is none other than the Attention Star. The Attention Star features the original Momentous™ Core which was featured primarily overseas, however, Storm's R&D team wanted to make it better than ever. They used A.I. technology to create a motion that we have not seen before. This all new core is wrapped around the time tested and proven eTrax™ PLUS Pearl Reactive coverstock to give an overall reaction unlike anything offered on earth today. I personally do not have a lot of success with asymmetric pearl bowling balls, however, this ball is an exception to that. I am able to do whatever I need to with this ball, I am able to play straighter (with tighter angles) as well as move in and shape the lane as the lanes break down. You will not want to miss out on this great new ball, go to your local VIP pro shop and pick one up for yourself today!

The new Attention Star from Roto Grip is one amazing addition to the HP4 line. The Attention Star provides effortless length through the fronts, and a great move off the end of the pattern. I really find this piece useful when the fronts start to go, but there is still lots of hook off the end of the pattern. The Attention Star slows down in the right spot, allowing it to not overact as soon as it sees dry. It is an excellent piece to go to, between a stronger asymmetric/symmetric ball like the Harsh Reality or Optimum Idol, and before a VEBO or IQ Tour Ruby. Own It today!!

Review:
There is a lot of good things going on here with the new Attention Star. When I first saw the promo pictures and an actual demo ball at a distributor this ball was so deep purple it looked black in color. This was a nice look I thought. When I got my Attention Star it was a ton more colorful and is a beautiful color of Purple, silver and grey. I believe this will be what is released as the finish color and is better looking than what I first saw in promo. The core used in the Attention Star has been vetted overseas and desired stateside and it is finally here. The Momentous core is made even better by adding the A.I, technology to increase hit and carry. The pearl cover works great with the Reacta Gloss finish for me on this ball. What I have seen so far is a ball that is clean and angular and really delivers a smack to the pins. The Attention Star reads the friction strong with a predictable angular finish. I have been able to feed this ball to the friction and have complete trust it will recover. This ball is under my Exotic Gem in hook but above my Hustle M+M. I feel this ball will work from multiple lines for different styles of play and still have a high carry percentage. The best thing so far is I won our league strike pot with this ball so I am already ahead with this one!
Summary:
The Attention Star is clean and angular and has great back end motion.
This ball hits hard and has great carry.
The Attention Star will be a great ball to use when stronger balls read the lane too early.

The new Roto Grip Attention Star! Features the Momentous AV + A.I. Core with the eTrax plus pearl cover wrapped around it. With the A.I. Core you still get good continuation and powerful light pocket hits. Liked that the core numbers were a little lower than a usual asym ball and a weaker yet proven cover. The Etrax Plus Pearl was on the RST X2 and that ball was quite usable. Glad to see they decided to bring this ball stateside.
This ball to me is a little stronger/earlier than the Storm Virtual Energy Blackout and a little more forward. I immediately hit this with a 2000 abralon pad to remove the shine. What shocked me is the Star did not feel whippy or uncontrollable even on fresh. I can see why the pro staff is using this ball out on tour a lot. The ball is easy through the fronts, mid-lanes strongly, and has a controllable pop on the back end. This ball will be good for many conditions especially in the Pittsburgh area where we see a lot of hook in the fronts.
This ball will be great for a variety of styles. Whether you a just a league bowler or you are a tournament bowler. The strength and controllable pop will help many people score well. You will want to check this ball out. Roto Grip got our attention with this star!

The Attention Star is one of the best balls I've thrown in a while. I'm a big fan of those slower asymmetrical pearls. Once I threw this one, I already knew it was going in the bag. I haven't seen that shape since the Absolute came out and I think the Absolute is weaker overall. Whereas the Attention Star has a lot more backend. I'm calling it now, Ball of the Year! You'll be seeing every pro throwing one! Go get yours!

Roto Grip Attention Star
Ball specs: MOMENTOUS™ AV + A.I. CORE TECHNOLOGY with E-Trax Pearl coverstock and finished with Reacta Gloss finish.
Layout: 5 x 3 ¾ x 3
Bowler specs: 15.5 mph and rev rate in the 380’s and my is PAP is 3 ¼ and at zero up/down and tested on Pro-Lane at ABC North Lanes in Harrisburg, Pa.
With the introduction of the Momentous AV core that has been used overseas in the Roto Grip Attention line since 2020, it was awesome to see the minds at Roto Grip bring that core to the World-Wide market. Wrapping the core is the all new A.I. outer core technology that was introduced last summer at International Bowl Expo, it is given the tour players a “cleaner” reading ball that the line has been missing. For us, the average Joe Bowler, that equates to a ball that stays true in reaction and is able to be used across a broad range of house patterns and tournament play. For me, the Attention Star is the FIRST ball since the start of the fall bowling season that I have been able to use through the whole league matches. May it be a 2 person / 4 game scratch doubles, 3-person scratch league or a 4-person mixed league, I am able to stay in the ball all night long and the overall reaction in the back end is weaker than the new Storm DNA Coil, but stronger than the Magic Gem or the Absolute Power. I would say it's very similar to the Storm Virtual Energy Blackout, but just a “tick” smoother on the dry friction. I mainly used it on Pro-Lane at ABC North, but had the pleasure of using it a Colony Park Lanes in York, Pa., where the surface is older HPL with a TON of fraction, every other ball I tried, jumped real strongly off the back of the pattern, but the Attention Star plowed through and was able to bowl a very respectable match (for myself) 963 for 4 games.
The Attention Star is #3 in out of 4 in ball strength for me and will be replacing the VEBO. In order of strength will be #1 – DNA Coil, #2 - Optimum Idol, #3 - Attention Star and #4 – Hustle RIP. For Colony Park Lanes my bag looks a little different: #1 – Optimum Idol, #2 – Absolute Power, #3 – Absolute Power and #4 – Lighting Storm or Ocean Blue Ice Storm.

The Attention star features an over seas core Momentous AV but added A.I. Core Tech wrapping it with eTrax Plus Pearl together gives you such a unique ball shape! Since throwing this ball I haven’t put it down it’s that good! A stronger option that skids through the fronts but doesn’t go forever down the lane and continues like nobody’s business! Typically bigger block asymms have limits for me and can only cross so many boards but the Attention star does not quit or roll forward and that makes for a special ball! Not as early as the Exotic Gem but more motion than the TNT Infused. Most players will find this ball useful in their arsenal. Get ready to turn heads when this goes down the lane!

The Roto Grip Attention Star features the Momentus AV core with A.I. technology wrapped in the eTrax Plus pearl reactive coverstock. At 15 pounds the Attention Star has a low rg of 2.48 with a differential of .049 and an intermediate diff of .017. I generally drill all my stuff the same at 5x4x2 but with this one I went with a little shorter pin 4.5x4x2. This ball has quickly become my favorite ball in my bag. I have five series with this ball, the lowest being 733; and two 800 series (802 and 827) along with one 300 game. This ball is like a cheat code for bowling. For an asymmetrical ball, the backend motion is not nearly as quick as most, and the pearl coverstock is not a quick response cover on this ball. Errant shots to the right that encounter friction early do not overhook. The ball just has a nice, controlled backend motion on these shots and finds it way back to the pocket. Shots pulled in the oil are no problem either, as the Attention Star is strong enough to handle moderate amounts of oil. The AI core technology is apparent as the off hits still send pins flying. This ball has certainly caught my attention as well as many of the other bowlers in my league. I would recommend this ball to anyone!!

Roto Grip Attention Star Ball Review by PJ Haggerty
Over the last several years, there have been a ton of great products come out of the factory in Utah and we can add the Attention Star to that list. This is one of the newest additions to the HP4 line at Roto Grip and it’s been extremely impressive so far. The core comes from previous international releases (Momentous Core) along with upgraded A.I. technology to give us an engine we haven’t seen here in the U.S. On the outside, it’s wrapped with the eTrax Pus Pearl coverstock, and needless to say, I’m impressed.
With a low RG (2.48) and higher diff (.049), those numbers tell me this ball is going to be strong but it’s also never going to miss “the spot” down-lane. I’ve drilled one so far and really like it. It’s mapped out as 5.5 x 5 x 2. This puts the pin above my bridge with a small shift of the CG and the mass bias just to the right of my thumb. I haven’t made any surface adjustments to it and have had a lot of success with it right out of the box. The Attention Star has been a house shot beast and when I’ve had the chance to get on tougher conditions, when I need to open my angles and create shape, the Attention Star is the first one I go to.
If you need a pearl, asymmetric ball that not only looks good, but strikes a ton, the Attention Star should be the next ball you drill!

After 8 international releases in the Attention line, the Momentous core finally makes it stateside in the Attention Star along with the AI.outer core. The Attention Star has the eTrax Plus Pearl the same cover that was on the RST X-2. With the pearl coverstock, as expected, it’s late and angular - extremely responsive downlane, great for early transition when you need to get a little more length out of the ball. There are some nights I’ve found the Attention Star to be the ball to start with, but most nights, it fits better in the second game.

With their release of the Attention Star, Roto Grip delivers a striking powerhouse to any arsenal. With the revolutionary Ai Core technology in the Momentous A.V. Core combined with eTrax PLUS Pearl Reactive coverstock, the Attention Star is a brilliant new release that delivers striking results. So, let’s take a closer look at what makes the Attention Star a THS destroyer!
The Momentous AV+A.I. Core was designed to create a distinct ball motion, and Roto Grip delivered that motion with the Attention Star. For straighter players like me, the Momentous A.V. +A.I. Core provided a vigorous intensity in the mid-lane, creating an incredible amount of momentum that explodes when the Attention Star finds the exit of the pattern! And once the Momentous AV+A.I. gets into the roll phase – it becomes a destructive force! I loved the strength and responsiveness the Momentous Core A.V. Core provided. With the A.I. technology behind it, it brought a continuation that gives a straighter player like me the extra punch I need!
The eTrax plus Pearl Reactive Coverstock is a unique blend that brought some surprising results. For me, as a straighter player, conventional wisdom says to use a solid on fresh and a pearl on the burn. With the eTrax Pearl reactive found on the Attention Star, I found a different dynamic to that logic. I sanded my Attention Star with 1500-git Abralon and used Storm’s Rough Edge to polish it, and the results were astounding! The Attention Star was brilliant in fresh conditions. I like how eTrax Pearl Reactive gripped in the mid-lane without over-reacting. And I enjoyed the blending smoothness of the eTrax Peal when it finds friction at the end of the pattern.
Further, as the night progressed, I was pleasantly surprised at how the eTrax Pearl blended the over-under conditions we see as the pattern breaks down. We straighter and lower rev players see the transition earlier than most. And as a straighter player, I liked how the eTrax Pearl cover gave me a smooth, clean, and predictable look all night.
In closing, the new Attention Star is a great revolutionary release by Roto Grip. And with its brilliant combination of Momentous AV+A.I. Core and eTrax Pearl reactive coverstock, the Attention Star, will deliver momentous results to your game, especially if you are a straighter player like me. So, stop into your local Storm VIP Pro Shop today and have your Attention Star ready to roll for tonight’s league. It is a great choice!

The new Roto Grip Attention Star bowling ball features Momentous™ Core and A.I. Core technology as well as eTrax™ PLUS Pearl coverstock. This bowling ball has been proving itself out in the field with wide variety of styles, including myself, really liking the ball motion that this Attention Star creates.
I drilled my Attention Star with a pin-up layout that has a longer PIN to PAP distance: 65 x 5 1/2 x 30. I am very impressed with the ball motion that this bowling ball creates. I think this Attention Star is one the best bowling balls that has been released in recent years. It appears to me that the core of this bowling ball wants to start earlier, but the cleaner coverstock helps it get down the lane just enough. This combination, in my eyes, works very well and makes the bowling “read” the lane at the “right” time very frequently.
Personally, I will always carry at least one Attention Star with me. I think this bowling ball is great for when the oil pattern develops a little bit of a “hook” spot and a bowler needs to open up the launch angle and use the “hook” spot. However, I do believe that this bowling ball will be very versatile and will work on a wide variety of patterns and layouts. The Attention Star, is for sure, a must have bowling ball in everyone’s arsenal! I will certainly drill a couple more of these.

What is this ball?? AI asym pearl. It’s clean, midlanes, doesn’t jerk off the dry and continues like crazy! It’s a crazy unique shape and already one of my favorites. I expected to use it on transition or late in the day but honestly I like it with more surface and right out of the back for Game 1 to control the pattern. If there’s friction in the front of the pattern I could see opening up with the Attention Star then going to something quicker like an Exotic or Vebo. The Attention Star is a great versatile piece!

RG Description:
Ordinary? Far from it. Revolutionary? Absofrigginlutely right it is. Not only are we presenting you with the most advanced core technology since the invention of sliced bread, but we also decided what the heck, why not just mix in an inner block design never before released domestically. Yeah, you read that correctly, prior to this out of this world concoction from our R&D lab, the original Momentous™ Core was exclusive to our international market. But after countless seconds, minutes, hours, days and weeks of computer research and testing, we figured out that density changes to this particular block and slug when placed in A.I. Core technology provided us with a motion we hadn’t seen before. And after multiple on lane tests, it was a quick and easy decision that we just had to wrap this baby with the time tested and proven eTrax™ PLUS Pearl Reactive coverstock to give us an overall reaction unlike anything offered on earth today.
My Review:
If the UC2 was your favorite, make way for the revolutionary Attention Star. Smooth and control was what I experienced in testing against a UC2 and RST-X3. Light carry hits from the AI tech helped increase my strike percentage A true medium/heavy ball it allows me to play the track longer and easier for a low RG mid-high diff ball based on my layout. Less flippy than my VEBO and more predictable like the RST-X3 is a power tweeners dream as I wanted to take full advantage of dominating core and cover.
I did not try to cover a lot of boards due to the purpose of the layout and unique ball motion but it is very capable of crossing 39 boards. This ball has picked up a lot of traction due to PBA success and exceptional attributes highlighting its design and unparalleled performance.
Bowlers seeking to revolutionize their game will find the Attention Star to be a game-changer, offering a level of innovation unmatched by its peers and unleashing its full potential, its dominating presence and unique ball motion.

This ball is, without a doubt, one of my favorite releases that SPI has produced in the last 5 years. The Attention Star has a rare combination of having a strong backend while still having a “stick to the lane” feeling – I never feel that it's at risk of over-shooting the break point, which can easily happen with some strong-backend balls. The reaction shape of this ball is a strong, hard arcing backend – I would not call it skid-flip, but it does have an impressive amount of down-lane motion. At it's out-of-box finish, it is not meant for true heavy oil, but for me it worked on anything from medium-heavy to medium-dry oil conditions. This one is an absolute must-have.

The new Roto Grip HP4 ball is Attention Star which comes with the Momentus AV core with A.I. technology wrapped in the eTrax Plus pearl reactive coverstock. I drilled mine 4.25 x 4 x 2. Pin up. Personally the Reacta Gloss just doesn't match up with my ball roll. So I used 1000 pad to take it off then added Storm step 2. To be totally honest it took me a while to figure out the Attention Star. It is a unique motion for me. It is very very clean through the fronts even with such a big asymmetrical core. I have used the Star on our modified house patterns, 44ft and 46ft. I ended up taking a light 2000 Abralon pad to the surface to help the reaction. That helped get it started up a little earlier which blended out the pattern real well. I have also used the Star on Kegel sport patterns, even on the shorter lengths 39 and 40 ft. The big core takes over and gets real forward but continuous through the pins. Very impressive on how versatile and how the Attention Star goes through the pins.
Great looking ball also for shelf appeal! Great Addition to RG Line!

Condition – house pattern - HPL surface
Surface – box condition
Interesting piece so far…when it’s looked good it’s been great. But, when it hasn’t…ugh. I’d decided to drill a couple new balls with stronger pins and buffers to get different motion. Seems I need a little more help as I get older in creating some different shapes.
As I move left across the lane, I can get it to blow right through the break point. Which is surprising as I don’t have much ball speed any longer. I’d expected something different reaction wise. However, staying further right, more in the dry, it picks up and continues very well.
My VEBO sees the spot better and allows me movement left. But I did lightly hit the surface on the VEBO with a used 4k pad. Wanted to wait until I bowled a tournament this past weekend to hit the Attention Star. It’s going to happen this week. Hopefully, that brings it alive and closer to what my expectations were when drilling.
As far as recommendations are concerned now, I’d see this as very useful for lower rev players that prefer to stay right. Will get through the fronts and continue with core strength. I haven’t seen any higher rev players in my area roll this piece. Would assume rev dominant players would enjoy it. But higher speed players would need to crack the shell to use in the puddle.
Not sure that I’m going to need both the Attention Star and VEBO in a bag. If you rotate a small arsenal I would see the same thing. Higher level tournament players it could make sense to have both.

Hello everyone and welcome to another Beyond the Arrows Ball Reviews brought to you by Striking Results Pro Shop, Bowlifi and Turbo 2 n 1 Grips, today we will be reviewing the new Roto Grip Attention Star.
The Attention Star has a low RG value of 2.48 which means it will rev up early and a medium differential of 0.049 and a high intermediate differential of 0.017 which will have a slightly sharp change of direction on the backend.
The Attention Star becomes the second Roto Grip release that has the AI Core Technology. AI Core Technology lowers the RG and raises the differential that creates a quicker roll and more surface contact with the lane. In addition, the Attention Star comes with a Momentous AV core which has been altered from what was overseas to come along with the AI core.
As per the eTrax Plus Pearl cover, which was initially formulated and used on the RSTX-2 provides a plenty of push through the front of the lane while providing plenty of footprint and responsiveness to friction down lane.
I did a ball comparison to the 900 Global Eternity and Storm Virtual Energy Blackout at 42 ft house shot, 25 ml of oil. The layout chosen 65 x 4 ½ x 85. Box Finish used for review.
In comparison to the Eternity, The Attention Star starts up a little quicker being pin down but is not as sharp as the Eternity that is pin up with a stronger core. If the Attention Star was drilled the same as the Eternity I feel the Attention Star would out hook the Eternity being the Attention Star has a lower RG, a higher differential and a stronger intermediate differential.
In comparison to the Storm Virtual Energy Blackout, the Attention Star starts up earlier but being pin down is not as angular. The Blackout was designed to be a longer but very angular on the backend to be that ball to use on the transition/burn where you need a ball to have a little more length but still make it up the hill.
As per the surface adjustments, the Attention Star’s box surface is Reacta Gloss which is which is 500>2,000>4000, reacta gloss which has been fixed from some previous issues and I haven’t changed the surface yet since the ball has been great out of the box.
In the bag, will be the Eternity Pi, Optimum Idol, Attention Star and Storm VEBO

The newest addition to Roto Grip’s HP4 line is none other than the Attention Star. The Attention Star features the original Momentous™ Core which, before now, was found primarily overseas. This ball gets through the fronts easily, has a strong midlane reaction, with an even stronger back end reaction. This is a great fresh medium oil ball that I can play up the lane with and when they start to break down a little bit, really start to open up the lane with. For me this ball really fits perfectly in between the Roto Grip Clone, as it gets down the lane a little cleaner, and TNT infused as it is just stronger overall.

Attention Star Ball Review
Layout
VLS-5x4x2
Dual Angle-50x5x30
Surface-1000/4000 Grit Dull
Roto Grip Attention Star wll be a great addition to the Roto Grip lineup.
Attention Star features a new core used here in the US wrapped with the AI technology with the cover from the RST-X2.
Attention star will fit right between the Gem series and the TNT series.
Attention Star will be cleaner than the Exotic Gem but with a sharper move on the backend.
In my lineup its stronger than my TNT Infused so when my TNT Infused isn't strong enough on the backend Attention Star will be my choice.

With the popularity and the chatter that the Attention Star was to be a newer version of the RST X-2 I knew I wanted to give it a try. I drilled the Attention Star slightly stronger than my RST X-2 because I was not sure how much stronger the A.I. addition to the core would make the Attention Star compared to the X-2. When I compared it to the popular Exotic Gem there was a noticeable difference in how much stronger the Exotic Gem was to the Attention Star. For me the Attention Star is closer in strength to the Virtual Energy Blackout than the Exotic Gem.
After using the Attention Star on the PBA 50 Tour patterns the layout I had was flaring too much for the lower ratio patterns compared to the house shots at home. I drilled another Attention Star with a weaker layout 5 X 51/4 X 2 to get a better more forward motion on patterns. I have also removed the polish to get a more consistent motion off the end of the patterns.

I am higher speed, rev challenged 220-250ish, high tilt, high rotation, and super low track player. I drilled my Roto Grip Attention Star 35 x 4.5 x 25 using the dual angle. My axis point is 3 1/4 over and 7/8 up.
The Attention Star is a welcomed addition to my arsenal it revs up early but clean through front part of the lane and continues down lane. I generally use this ball game 2 - 3 of league or when there is friction right and transition is happening. The Roto Grip Attention Star definitely does not disappoint!

The Attention Star features the Momentus AV core with A.I. wrapped around the E-Trax+ coverstock. Out of the box both my Attention Stars were extremely clean and had fantastic motion off the back of the pattern, I almost found it too clean on most patterns. I sanded One ball to 2000 to bring the breakpoint closer to my feet and to handle “fresher” conditions, this ball does exactly what’s I wanted it to do picks up a touch more in the mid-lane and has a heavy roll to the pocket. The second attention star I sanded to 3000 and added smooth edge to it to give it a sheen, when the fronts are hooking a pinch more and there’s a little more transition I’m able to use this ball to create more length but not miss the mid-lane as much as it did with the out of box finish. At both surfaces this ball is incredible and I find myself trying to get into it as often as possible.
It fits in between my Gem and Optimum Idol, this ball will shine during early transition if you keep it with polish on it and it can handle some of the fresh if you use surface, this ball is extremely forgiving.
Most players will be able to use this ball in league as is strong enough to handle some volume and doesn’t come off the friction to quickly.
Lower rev players will love this ball as you can play the friction well with it and it has just enough juice to turn the corner in the oil.
Higher rev players will love to get in and wheel this ball around the lane.
