Review:
The Roto Grip Halo Vision has been a real treat to roll. It is right up there with the hook of the original Halo but shapes in a different way. By this I mean the smooth strong shape at the breakpoint all the way through the pins. I put this ball between my Crux Prime and Halo Pearl in total hook. The way the Halo Vision handles oil and drives hard and smooth off the breakpoint is impressive. This is one of the most aggressive but predictable balls I have ever used. The Halo Vision will give bowlers confidence on heavy oil. When you trust a ball to come back it loosens up the arm swing so you can make a good shot. I have tested this ball on a variety of conditions and if there is oil you will not be disappointed. One thing I noticed is how well this ball drives through the pins. The carry of the Vision is very good for an early rolling ball. I have used this ball with a lot of lane shine and it may even roll a bit nicer through the front. I have also put a light polish over the box finish and it makes for a super reaction when the box finish is a few feet too early. I did sand down a Halo Vision for one of my better bowlers and we saw an earlier read, 4-5 more boards overall in hook and no loss of carry. If you are looking for a heavy oil ball, or bowl on thick sport conditions the Halo Vison is a great choice. The Vision seemed to start as a slow seller but as more people hear and see this ball the demand is on the rise at our shops. I am very excited to have this ball at our upcoming Matchmaker Demo because I know the response will be very good.
Summary:
The Halo Vision is strong but smooth
The predictability and hit are very good on this ball.
The colors are very eye catching on the Halo Vision.
The Vision is a great choice for heavier oil patterns.
