Oracle Vision

Take your furture into your own hands with the all new Oracle Vision.

We have modified the already strong asymmetrical Cyclotrontm core to give you added performance from start to finish. The all new Cyclotron Vtm core gives you a lower RG (radius of gyration) to create a quicker spin rate while keeping the differential high (.050) providing continous hook down the lane.

The crowning touch is the introduction of an all new coverstock. The Ultimate Visiontm pearl particle coverstock delivers the traction of a solid particle coverstock in the front of the lane and the backend motion of a pearlized reactive down the lane.

I have 2 Visions. One has the pin above and between the fingers with the cg swung out about 1 inch. The other has the pin below and between the fingers with the cg stacked. I couldn't have asked for 2 more different reactions. Also I set a scoring record with the "pin up" vision. 2297 scratch for the Ohio Inter-City Tournament. "Pin up" has a 1500 shined look and the stacked one has the box surface. This ball is a must for any tournament bowler due to its versatility and striking potential.

The ball is laid out 3 3/8" with pin up next to the ring finger.  This ball is very consistent and HOOKS!  It shows continuous hook and will leave more 8's and 9's based on how strong it finishes.  I would highly recommend this ball, it is a stronger, more consistent Fuel, but it keeps the pins lower and shows better overall carry.  It is a keeper, I would rate it 8.5 - 9 out of 10.

Ball specs:
14lb3oz
4" pin, 3.22 oz top wght.
drilled; 3.5x4 mb below thumb
pin below and right of ring
small weight hole just below mid line on pap
light coat extra shine

This ball clears the heads clean has a nice mid lane move that revs up for a strong arcing back end. have mostly used on THS shots with varying length and volume the ball has slightly more snap on stripped backends. It has displayed great hitting power keeping the pins low and leaving few corner pins. would recomend this ball to anyone looking for a consistant but strong particle pearl. Definatly the best I've thrown in this catagory, a welcome addition to my all Roto Grip arsenal.

So far of the Roto balls that I have this ball has to be the strongest.

Layout is a 4 3/4 by 4 3/4. Putting pin and cg stacked under ring. w/ x-hole 4in in.

This ball moves through most med conditions with a very strong and visible move off the spot. This ball also keeps pins suprisingly low.

The Vision is the way to go.

Pin to CG distance - 1-1.5"
Drill - Pin 4.25" from PAP with MB just under and to the right of the thumb.

Initially, I had mixed feelings about this ball because I couldn't get it to move as much as I thought it should.  At first, I thought it was burning up too fast so I polished it, which made it skid too far down the lane before trying to turn up.  Turns out it was the bowler and method of ball care that was the problem.  For me, this is a ball that absorbs oil very quickly and is a little more receptive to a slower ball speed, a feature that most my other equipment I've used doesn't have.  I took it back down to 800-1000 and keep it clean using Clean N Dull after every session.  This made all the difference in the world, this thing is now a monster and requires deeper angles and more side roll to keep it right in most houses I bowl in.  In practice earlier today, I was standing around 28 and targeting between the second and third arrow out to the 5 board and back, which for me (see profile), is way inside.  This ball has a very strong midlane and hard arcing backend, which I was surprised by considering the surface and coverstock.  This ball is strong and needs a fair amount oil up front in order to get it down the lane.

This ball is great for heavy oil or slick lane surfaces.  Not good for lighter/shorter patterns and broken down lanes or higher friction lane surfaces (unless there's a ton of oil), but on the right condition this ball is a winner.  I took it to the State Tournament on the older synthetic lane surfaces used in the early 90s which were a little slicker and rolled a 677, which was high on my team and near the top series from anyone during the squad that day.  It took some hard work to figure this ball out, but it was worth it.

Speed: 16-17 MPH
Revs: 350+
Axis tilt: 20-25 Deg
Axis rotation: Approx. 30 deg
Desription:
Weight (Pre-drill)  15 and change
Top weight (Pre-drill)
Pin to CG distance  3”
Surface prep  1500 Grit Polished
Drilling
Pin to PAP distance 4” Pin to grip center distance  3.5”  Pin in middle finger.
Balance hole location, size, and depth. No Balance Hole

Condition used was PBA Regional Pattern 4(42Ft) and THS(38Ft)
Pattern #1 Lane condition was synthetics(Brunswick).
I used a dull surface at about 800 grit on this pattern and the ball was too aggressive but it had a smooth reaction and was predictable at the break point but forced me to go to deep for that pattern
THS is AMF synthetic conditions are med oil for our areas THS
This ball gives a strong smooth read. The vision was a very smooth ball and was very control when my Flippy stuff was too Over/Under and the battle was too strong.

Line being played
Pattern #4 20/ 7 @ 38-40ft on fresh Any deeper and ball wouldn’t recover in time                                                                            THS 20/10 @ 36 ft on fresh

Overall Thoughts
This ball is great for use on med to heavy oil pattern with moderate length as long as the surface is right. It has the ability to give a great read if matched properly with the condition. Ball has great traction and carry. The balls reaction didn’t change much from 600-800 grit and from 1000-2000 grit.
Compared to the Violet gargoyle with the same drilling This ball is stronger and more aggressive throughout the entire lane. For me it is about 10 boards stronger then the Violet with a better and more consistent read through the oil.

COMMENTS
I wanted to drill a particle pearl. My proshop had this one used, so I picked it up. I wanted something to stand up but not jump and still have some hitting power at the pin decks.

On the house shot, I can pipe it up the dry when the pattern starts to breakdown. Or, I can circle the pattern if needed, but I think it is much better straighter, based on the surface and layout.

I have used it on the shark pattern and was not that great. It was too strong to play direct and not strong enough to go away with it.

Overall, I think the ball can be used on a wide variety of med conditions. It is still a particle pearl, so dry is out and real oily is out. Anything in between it is pretty good and somewhat versatile with that layout. I like the fact it doesn't jump when it sniffs the dry. It just lazily rolls thru the pins and carry with it is better than I expected.
