As I have said in other posts regarding this ball...it is a flat out BEAST! And, typical of so many RotoGrip products, it is deceptively strong. I have thrown this ball now on the fresh shot at three different houses. Because most of the houses in my area do not use enough oil for me to get the full effect of this piece, I was forced to alter it's oob surface from 2000 abralon to 4000 abralon(no polish). The surface change went well, as it gave me added length with absolutely no diminished hitting power, and no less mid-lane read. I have never seen a ball move downlane so smoothly, yet totally obliterate the rack, as if it were a skid-snap monster! Because this ball loves oil, I was actually forced to play the out of bounds area at one of my houses, in order to see it's true potential. No problem! I played between 5 and 7 boards. Normally, any ball I play there is immediately in the channel. Not with this piece. Great traction in oil, excellent hold, and turns the corner like a Ferrari in an 'S' curve! If you are speed dominant....you need this ball. If you are a stroker who wants to slam the pins like the Big Boys, you need to get this ball for heavy oil. The "HIT" of this ball is par excellence! It doesn't so much explode the rack, as it just sweeps everything away like a broom! Just clears a path as if the ball expanded it's size going thru the pocket area. It leaves nothing in it's wake. That is continous power!
In 9 games so far, I have left one ten pin....which is pretty remarkable. For a THS, this ball is a bit strong oob, but it is tweakable....which is what I am currently doing with mine. I will be reviewing this ball again once I get it in a regular rotation with my current arsenal. In Theory, this ball is just an idea. In reality....this ball is the equivalent of a Super Cell!! Similar ball movement on the lanes, but double the power. Outstanding job Roto Grip!
