Roto Grip Wreck'em

I drilled this ball wanting to replace my outcry which had cracked. With this drilling, I was looking for length and strong backend.  I got his and much more. The cover is much stronger then I expected and hooked off the spot much more then I expected. It was very strong off the dry and carried very well. Once I got it in the oil some I left a few flat tens that my dare devil probably would have carried. All in all this is another great piece from Roto grip. The WreckEm is the latest HP2 release from RotoGrip. This ball is flat out fun to roll! Wind it up, get it to friction and watch it fly. I'm a huge fan of pearl symmetric bowling balls, so I was "pumped" to drill this one out. My customers love it, it looks great on the shelf and the price point is crazy good. If you've got some hand, this ball works well on fresh house shots. It does skid easy, so don't get too brave on heavier oil patterns. I drilled mine with the pin above my ring at 4 1/4 from my PAP and the flare from the core was impressive. I'm slightly speed dominant with lower tilt and I had no problems getting this ball to pocket on our house shot. I'm putting a video out on this ball soon and I plan to test it on a few sport conditions. Reaction: Being a pearl I stuck to my pin down layout and actually it needed a little surface adjustment for my “eyes” to like the motion down lane. I can now play left of the typical lefty track area and not worry about not having enough ball in my hand like The Hustle line that I love to use on wood and older HPL which is what we have at the center I work and bowl at. The Hustle POW is my favorite of the bunch and if in practice, which one is going too far down lane before it starts the reaction, I been pulling out the Wreck It and had better reaction. But having that touch more pearl in it, the length is a few inches longer and more energy being stored which leaves less corner pins for me. When I need to use something on newer HPL I like to use this Wreck’Em as my first choice out the bag. With pin down it starts a little sooner and does not hydroplane like my other pearls do on it. Great ball to be the middle piece of your 3 ball arsenal or the 2nd ball out of your 4 ball arsenal.

Wreck Em

The WreckEm is the latest HP2 release from RotoGrip. Another great release from Roto Grip, not only does it hook and hit but the shelf appeal may be one of the best looking balls ever. The layout for this ball was pin slightly up and just to the right of my ring finger. The Wreck Em cleared the fronts and was smooth through the mid lane, but then the ball got to the backend and the reaction I got was a total surprise. The surprise was for it to finish as strong as it did and was so continuous through the pins. The Wreck Em may be the strongest backend reaction I've ever thrown. It gives me so much length that I could play the same area of the lane for more games. I've only used it on a fairly heavy oiled house shot so far, but after 3 games with eight bowlers on the pair I moved about five boards left all night. At first, I wasn't sure how much backend motion the Wreck Em had because of the length that it gets, but it'll gets sideways. This ball is a must for medium house shots and with the length it will work great on sport patterns with small surface adjustments. A great bargain for your buck.

Roto Grip has really come out with a nice ball here.  Looks great with the USA red, blue and white colors, and reacts very well.  Being in the HP2 line up this ball far exceeds expectations.  My layout is 75/4 1/2"/40 and a small P3 hole.  With that pin distance this gives the ball some length for me.  The 40 val angle allows the ball to read the friction faster off the spot.  I put a small P3 hole in it to just give it a little more over all strength.  This ball gets clean through the front part of the lane and has lots left for the backend.  Stronger then one might think and definitely reads midlanes well.  I drilled this to fit underneath my DAREDEVIL and it compliments it nicely.  The WRECKEM I would say goes about1-2 feet longer then my DAREDEVIL.  Its a great ball for when the lanes break down and you need to get it down lane and still have strong reaction.  Depending on your RPMS the ball works great right around the 15-8 board area.  One of the best hooking balls on the market for the price, and can be drilled to fit in between many midrange balls.

The newest addition to the HP2 line from RotoGrip is the Wreck-Em.  The Wreck-Em has the Pumped Pearl Reactive Coverstock wrapped around the Neutron Core.  This combination provides generous length with a drastic move on the backend.  The layout I used in the Wreck-Em was a modified pin in the grip with the CG kicked out with a hole down.  The reaction I got out of the Wreck-Em was stronger than expected.  The Wreck-Em being a Pearl compared to the Wrecker and Wreck-It which are hybrids is simple more length than the Wreck-It with more backend motion and compared to the Wrecker is just readability.  The Wrecker is the ball that went long and turn sideways on the backend…  The Wreck-Em is very similar to that but the breakpoint and backend is more consistent and readable.  Even with my low rev rate which around 300 I was able to continue to move left and as long as I hit the dry the Wreck-Em was wrecking the pins with authority.  I can see the Wreck-Em being that ball on the second shift in league or that ball to go to late in a tournament.  The Wreck-Em glides through the front part of the lane and is powerful enough to get around the corner.

The addition of the Wreck-Em to the HP2 line has vastly improved versatility of the line.

    The new Roto grip ball in the HP2 line is the Wreck-em.  Same core as the Wreck-it and Wrecker (Neutron) with Pumped Pearl same cover on the Hustle (P/O/W).
I drilled mine pin up stacked above my bridge, which this is strong pin for my PAP of 3 5/8's.  I have thrown the Wreck-em on house and a couple sport patterns.
For me I see it being cleaner through fronts than the wreck-it but with a little stronger ball motion when it sees friction.  I have seen a lot of the PBA guys putting a little surface on the Wreck-em with great success. The wreck-em is a ball that allows you to have a lot of control and more of a direct line to the pocket.  Great ball for all styles.
