Layout suggestions wanted...
« on: March 12, 2008, 03:33:10 PM »
Here is the first one...http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b259/every1sgrudge/Odyssey1.jpg Top weight is 2.86OZ
and the second...http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b259/every1sgrudge/Odyssey2.jpg Top weight is 3.86OZ

Just looking for anyones suggestions on what layouts may be viable for these two balls (specs are in profile).  I have a few ideas, but would like to here some others as well.  Thanks in advance for any help.

Tyler,

I would try to see if I could get them weighed and verify the top weights on them. This will really play a role in how much shifting you really want to do with the CG's being out of line to the right. Weight holes can get you under USBC specs, it just depends how big and where to place them.

The first one might be able to be laid out with the pin up over one of the fingers at least an inch. Again the tops will make a difference in size of weight holes.

Lefty's that want to shift the label without a weight hole should be all PM'ing you right now looking to take those off your hands.

Everything is going to depend on the top weight on these balls.  The lower the better in this case.  In either case you are probably going to need to put the pin over or under your bridge and the RG close to your thumb.  With the shorter pin of the 1st one it might be a better candidate for pin under, and the 2nd one pin over.  You will need a weighthole on both.
