Quick question
« on: June 05, 2008, 08:15:31 AM »
I,ve been using brunswick equipment for the past 12 yrs. I'm thinking of trying
out different stuff, and the ball that has caught my eye, is the cell. I was looking on ebay and allstar bowling has some cell's that are only I think 69$ plus shipping. They state that these balls are blems/x's. My question is, has anyone ever purchased one these blems before? And do they have a different reaction  then the 1st quality ones. Would it be a good idea get one, or should I stay away from them.

I bought an x-blem Cell from Allstar. Topweight was a little low but I drilled it 5 x 3 with a 2 1/2 pin buffer. Shot a 289 2nd game in league. Ball works great. I did change the surface to 600 with Bruns highgloss polish over the top. Best 51.00 + shipping I ever spent.

The X-blems are usually longer pins or CG's sometimes both. They will react and look the same. I have a buddy who throws nothing but Storm X-blems because they are so cheap. You may end up with a strange balance hole location but you should still be able to drill it like normal. It is for sure a great buy. I would say go for it.
