Critical With Polish

I Got a Critical Theory last week and drilled it pin up for length and backend. I wasn't getting near the backend I was hoping for. Even on fresh oil I needed to move right to get backend. I tried some polish over the 4000 and it helped a little. Then I tried taking it down and bring it up to 2000 with a little more success. I still need to move to the right and pretty much throw up the boards but the backend and carry has improved a little more. The ball does not overreact at all I just need to remember to keep me speed down and don't pitch it right.
Has anyone else tried polish and if so how did it turn out for you.
