3 Piece Roto
« on: December 24, 2005, 03:57:55 AM »
This is for all of those roto guys out there that can get some inside info from roto. I have always wondered why roto has not come out with a 3 piece pearl reactive yet.

For what it cost to manufacture those balls and then be competitive at that price level...it isn't worth it.  That is what my parent company STORM is for, Big hits and HITS.

Thank you.

Sounds like I'll just keep sticking to my Hit for when I need a 3 piece read. And my other Rotos for all the other shots.

Once you learn how to truly roll the ball 3 piece is amazing. Took me some time to realize that. But it becomes very versatile in the right hands. I have seen a guy and been able to myself, go almost gutter to gutter on one shot and turn about with the same ball on the same lanes and shot down the boards (no oiling in between). It tends to give a urethane read but a little more bite on the backend. Hence, with me having a great amount of hand already in the ball, 3 piece allows me to stay smooth, stroke the ball, and still do whatever I want to it without over reacting.
