New roto ball?

SO the guy at the proshop here called roto wondering if there were any deals going for the mutant, and the lady he talked to said there were no specials but they will most likely make a special when they release the new ball that is not the mutant. anybody know what this could be? another planet ball or a low end ball to take over the planets? or possibly a hybrid nomad?

Looks like it will be a Neptune replacement. I expect a new line with a new core but low end. I'm looking forward to seeing what they have up their sleeve.

I am hoping for another neptune. I never had the chance to get one but from what I saw the ball is very good. I just hope roto does not go over the top with a strong cover like storm did with the fast. The industry needs a true dry-lane ball that is not urethane and has a core other than a pancake.

Roto has done a good job with their entry line. They are always fairly mellow balls. I would not be surprised if they stayed with the Sure Grip line of coverstock. Maybe the Sure Grip III? They know what they are doing. I would love to see a weak light bulb core in the Sure Grip II cover as well. That would give a really good read.

Jmiller,

The Mutant Cell specials are available to people who attend a Storm Forecast seminar (schedule listed on our website under events).  Everyone received a Mutant cell nearly a month prior to the release and their one shot at specials were if they attended the events.

There is no additional ball being released with the Mutant Cell.  If you spoke to a lady on the phone she is in customer service and they only process the orders.
