I was going to post a little blurb on the All Out Show off as I have not seen many out here except in the reviews.
My Son who often gets balls and ball advice from me, decided he wanted a midline ball and picked out this Roto Grip All Out Show off for himself. A classic two hander with no thumb and 475 to 600 RPMs depending on how fast he throws it from 17.5 to slightly over 20.
Balls like the Storm Fast, Storm Punch Out, Storm Freakn Frantic, have been big winners for him on his most common house shots.
He had been having a problem on this occasionally wet/dry shot with carry using a Danger Zone Vintage with the pin tight down just over his ring finger with a small kick out and a weighthole out what would probably be called a P3 if there were a thumbhole(newer mandated no thumb rules). Frankly he had some days where his carry just stunk other days where it was just great. With its nice strong cover and smooth controlled backend as the set went on his carry was shocking 10 pin city.
A switch to the All Out show Off with the pin farther up up(say 4 3/4 from his PAP and cg tucked a little back towards his grip center (no weight hole or thumb hole) the ball was a Pocket seeking carry monster. The set I walked into about the 3rd or 4th frame 2nd game of league he went 18 of 20 with only two 9 pins as he hit a breakpoint of say 7 instead of the wonderful carry zone he had from 13 to 8!
Can you say lined up!
I am Very impressed with this ball and seeing it not get the attention of the Storm Roto crowd that it deserves especially compared to the Dare Devil series which in my confines has really not been that impressive(too much midlane on many applications I have seen!).
Though the All Out Show off has midlane, it's main quality with this pin up setup for my son is that it has comeback! Seeming to square up even stronger than a Rocket with very similar setups!
I am so impressed I think I see an Original Show Off with a similar setup to get him three incredible looks to the pocket that may be unstoppable at this house.
I encourage other Storm Roto enthusiasts to discover this series in a big way! Unless you are bowling me!

PS OH, pin is up over his ring almost 1 3/4 inches
