Surface adjustments to the NRP?
« on: June 19, 2017, 10:18:31 PM »
Has anyone had any success making surface adjustments to their NRP?  Taking it down to maybe 500/2000.

I have a NRP and a DDT. they're great but they're too similar in terms of lane condition and board coverage. If I do make a move, I plan on polishing the DDT. I've seen a few people that have it that way and like the reaction. I've just never seen anyone adjust the NRP.

Any advice or experiences would be greatly appreciated

I agree with you.  Thinking about polishing my DDT too.

I haven't changed the surface on my NRP, but I have changed it on the Daredevil. Same cover. I took the shine off on the Daredevil. Definitely smoothed it out a bit. I've been considering doing it with the NRP, but that ball has worked very well for me with the shine on. One of the few balls that has. Actually, Code Black is also good shiny. Maybe the asymmetric cores match up with shine better than symmetrics for me.

I wouldn't be afraid to try it, anyway.
