Rush users where are you?
« on: April 20, 2004, 05:09:04 AM »
I am very interested in this ball.  I've seen the half ball model and it's core has really caught my attention.  Reminds me alot of the EMB from track.  Anyway Low RG ractive balls usually work very well for me with a high gloss polish and a 4 x 2 drilling on house shots and carrydown.  I was just wonder how others have theirs drilled and how it responds to carrydown and the typical house shot.  Don't forget to include drilling and coverstock prep.

4x3 box condition, hole past pap ....smooth, predictable, but still strong and continuous! I love mine!  As soon as it's thrown, you KNOW EXACTLY what it's going to do and where it's going!

I've got mine drilled 4x3 in box condition.  It's great on our fresh THS which is pretty long oil.  This ball is very smooth down the lane arcing (driving) into the pocket.  After the lanes break down a little, it moves too much and I put it away --  I just haven't had enough time with it.

I cant add much more to what everyone else has stated. I think Bob said it best this is NOT the most versatile ball in the world and its not like any other reactive I have thrown. This ball is really special if the lanes call for a down and in shot or a small swing. Otherwise this ball burns way too early on most house shots. And IMO better suited for sport oil or flat oil. Truly a ball for the heavier side of mediums and if there is dry some where on the lane, dare I say heavy oil. Side note, this ball polished just farts all over itself.Instead look at the Apoc or RRR if you plan on polishing this ball. Probably the worst over/under I have ever seen on a ball. By the way mine is drilled 4x3 x-hole before pap. Surface 1000 (grey pad).

Nice post Northface, thanks,...Apoc is on the way!! Thanks!  Farts all over itself.....funny!

However,...both my houses now love this ball! ANd....they're totally different from eachother....one is guardian/old wood, 42 ft, heavy in the heads, the other is AMF synthetic, THS 38ft, very little buff,....ball performs great straight up 7 and 12-8 little swing, respectively....
