Any info on the Venus?
« on: June 30, 2006, 02:42:34 AM »
I'm looking for a drier lane ball, but I'd like something that could also handle the carrydown.  I've found that many dry lane pieces are reactive pearl covers and can be erratic on a carrydown condition.  I looked at the specs of the Venus, and it sounds like it may be just right.  Anyone have any insider info on it, or has anyone thrown it?  When will it be released?  This would be my first RG ball.

I'm thinking that the Saturn might be better for carrydown as it has more of a matte finish vs pearl for the Venus.

But I also want a milder cover, where I think the Saturn may overlap too much with my Doom.  Also, I was hoping the particles in the Venus coverstock would help w/ the carrydown.

same cover as the Mercury with 1% particle load should be fairly mild and handle carrydown well in box just don't drill it too mild or you'll most likely have something thats like a particle spare ball. These balls like a strong cg placement.

RELEASE DATE IS SCHEDULED FOR 7/27/2006

Sounds good.  Any other feedback on this ball?  Anyone have one yet?
