Well.....Any staffers had a chance to try this ball yet? Or is it too early?

I got to use it Tuesday on a house shot and it was nice. I shot 695 and it should have been higher but I had some brain dead moments and wasn't covering some easy spares. I was playing 12 to about 8 and throwing it pretty hard. If I let up on my speed at all it was up the nose or crossing over. I actually polished the ball before league because I feared that it would be too much for me to use on a house shot. First game out I shot 255 ran the front 8, not bad for the first game with the ball. This ball is going to be awesome with heavy oil pattern. I will probably throw it tonight on a heavy pattern and should be able to let you know tomorrow.

How does this compare to the Odyssey? And how is yours laid out?

I had it layed out 4" pin to pap and 4" pin to mass bias with a 2"pin buffer. The ball is a solid reactive and I thought the oob surface may have been too much so I put a polish on it so I could use it. Like I said, even though it was polished I had to keep my speed up. I haven't compared it to my odyssey so Ill try to do that either tonight or tomorrow and let you know what I think. Also, I just got my Pluto today and will give that a shot and let you know, but from what I can tell, this should take place of the saturn and maybe more. Ill post more tomorrow.

Well I threw the Cell last night for six games. The first set was an ok, average, 660. the ball was reacting well and towards the end of the set I struggled to keep the ball from crossing over but I just moved a little left and finished with the last 5. I again had some brain dead moments and couldn't cover some easy spares. As for the second set, we changed lanes and it was on. I ran the front 7 in the first game and finished 269. Game 2 started with a ringing 10 and missed then ran off ten strikes in a row, finished with 264. The final game, the ball got pretty aggressive and I threw the front 5 had a couple spares and left a 6-7-10 in the 8th. Finished with a 241 for a 774. That is my high set and the first time I had a honest shot at 800. My previous high was 757. I LOVE THE CELL. And just an FYI Scroggins used it in the first set of the pba on wood lanes, shot 279, 230...he said he likes it! Jan 3.

Sweet. I've been tempted to try Roto. I may be getting the RSP real soon. I need to confirm my Paypal acct. Does anyone know how the RSP'll compare to the Cell or Epic line?

Cell/Epic's have much, much stronger covers/cores than a RSP. A Mystic and a RSP would be more comparable.

I would suggest going with an Illusion or a Mystic instead of a RSP. The Illusion is much more versitile and has a stronger backend reaction. I threw a 300 with the Illusion a couple months ago and its my first ball out of the bag usually. Last night I was just excited to throw the Cell. email me and let me know if you have any questions or any other way I can help you make the right choice for a ball!
