Any staffers tried the Outcry yet
« on: August 10, 2014, 06:25:44 PM »
I know it's not released yet but I wondered if anyone has tried out the Outcry yet? I am thinking of getting one for my daughter but I wouldn't mind seeing a few reviews. I've seen reviews of the other upcoming Rotogrip balls but nothing on this one

I feel like the Outcry will be a really good ball. With the purpose behind it and seeing how it rolled in the one video, it seems like a ball that will truly fit between the Rumble and UpRoar.
Not quite as sensitive to oil as the pearl on the UpRoar but not as rolly as the Rumble

I've seen a lot on the Outcry, it seems to be one of those "can't miss" balls, meaning it's going to be one of those great solid balls that's going to work well for everybody.
What would you be if you were attached to another object by an inclined plane, wrapped helically around an axis?

Sinister looks mean. Roto is stepping it up.

It has a winning formula for roto grip.

Balls at 4000 that have to polish that are pearl or hybrid:

Rogue Cell
Critical Theory
Defiant Soul

Now, Sinister
Now, Outcry

I'm banking on both being winners honestly.  The track record is good.  Stormhad a few at that finish...

Secret agent, lucid,...probably forgetting a few..

I think a worst it'll be mediocre!
In the bag [Infinite Physix, Volatility Torque, Night Road, Phaze III, Burner Solid, Hustle AU]
*Now Testing* IQ Ruby, Renevant, another IQ Tour solid
Coming soon...???

these new pieces are amazing! The sinister isn't done justice as it needs more oil to really show its true intent. But the Hysteria is silky smooth and the outcry is a mid priced sleeper!

Honestly, I could see Hyper, Sinister, Hysteria, Asylum, Outcry, and Uproar being a pretty sweet arsenal.

I have an Outcry drilled pin above the middle no hole (same as a Wrecker that I use often). The Outcry is like the shape of possibly a Nomad Solid with a tad more downlane definition. For me the Outcry definitely has a clean/arc shape of some of the older pieces of a few years back (Outlaw, Nomads, Shatter w/surface) as compared to current pieces that compared to last year's pieces in that same category always seem to be more angular/snappy and stronger overall.

The Outcry has a nice ratio of push/midlane read and continuation. It is not as sideways as a Wrecker downlane, reads more up front and digs harder at the mids.
In conclusion it feels like a great fit for that product line in between an Uproar/Wrecker tandem.

No need for Hyper Cell in that lineup, Sinister is ridiculously strong.

Saw Tom Baker throwing the Outcry at the PBA50 at Treasure Island Casino. They had the Dick Weber shot out at that tournament. He didn't seem to have a very good shot with it. Very inconsistent ball to my eyes. When he switched to the Optimus, he totally controlled the shot.

In fairness, those are 2 drastically different balls. The OutCry for me, fits those middle games in a tournament. When you need to read the mids, but not overreact. It is a control piece for me. The comparison to the Nomad solid is actually a lot closer than anything else imo.

I thought the Hysteria was supposed to be very close to Nomad Solid?
