Anyone Sand an Eternal Cell?
« on: January 27, 2016, 09:53:04 AM »
I'm curious how he cover compares to a Hyper Cell if the covers are prepped the same?  Roto has discontinued the Hyper Cell and I know you can still get one but curious if a 2000 abralon Eternal Cell will be basically the same?

I have both the Critical  and Eternal , the Critical  is stronger even though the cover is supposed to be weaker it is very underestimated.  To me the Eternal is cleaner than Skid a tad bit earlier  with the same amount of backend without the over and under

Do you have both still at the OOB finish?

Yes,I  think a sanded eternal would give you same look as hyper but more continuous and more backend

My Eternal Cell sanded to same surface as my Hyper Cell (same drilling), is easier through the front of the lane, by far. As the Hyper Cell lane shines, it still wants to pick up, and roll off the spot, where the Eternal Cell, as it lane shines, has more kick in the backend.

I personally prefer my Critical polished, and my Eternal Cell with surface. I just reversed the factor finish on those balls.

Eternal sanded 2000 at Feb TAT gave me over/under. Changed to Lock same layout 60x4.5x50 pin drilled in ring, great series day leader. Hyper gave me weak 10's.
Back home shined Eternal at house became a monster.
Next time (due to low revs) I tried more forward roll in sport conditions with Eternal, worked perfect. Great ball!
