Anyone try surface on totally defiant?
« on: December 17, 2013, 09:45:44 PM »
And with some surface would the TD be similar to the soul?  My TD just hydroplanes and is a medium ball at best. So going to try some surface and knock the polish off.

You are going to get that hydroplaning, it is a True Pearl ball,  not a pearlized. Mine is great if I have a crisp, fresh back end, but when I get any kind of carry down, it gets weak and overworked.

I put mine at 1000 Abralon, and give it a hot water / soap bath every few weeks to keep it in tip top shape, and it does fine.  Remember, it is designed to do nothing on oil, hit the dry and go.  Often times I put a little more hand on the ball, and move left and make sure I come out of the pattern where no one else is.
Wise bowler told me once: K.I.S.S.   Keep it simple stupid.

Thanks.  Is this ball similar to the critical theory?  That ball could handle some oil.

Naw.....I think these are two completely differnt animals. That Critical Theory was/is versatile on a lot of different conditions, where as I believe the TD is more condition specific.
