Building an effective Roto Grip arsenal
« on: November 13, 2004, 10:26:11 AM »
Hi all,
I am looking to start bowling in several tournaments over the next year, I understand the importance of having the physical game in order to do well(which I have been working on), but I want to get you guys input on how my equipment will fair on different shots and what you have seen at different tournaments.  Here is what I have, with the exception of the Oracle, I had one but it was stolen, haven't replaced it yet.

Heavy oil: Oracle; label drill

Med Heavy: Apocalypse; Pin below the fingers slightly negative, mb 1/4" from thumb. CG below midline.

Med oil: RS-1 Label drill with mb almost in thumb.

Med light to Med:  Retro Ressurection sorta label, I can't describe it.

Light:  Sonic X Solid:  Pin over ring mb 1" from thumb

Dry: Sonic X pearl(Need drilling suggestions)

I am thinking about purchasing an ultra sonic or a Silver streak and punch it up for a control drill(probally just stack the cg and pin in my palm.  Any other suggestions?

Thanks,
BMM

Rush w/ a 4 strong type drill
RS1 to complement the Rush...
Polished Retro for med light
