Apocalypse -OR- X-Factor
« on: August 04, 2004, 06:38:29 PM »
I've got an X-Factor that I love but just can't seem to find the pocket with anymore.  Most likely my fault, but you know it's got to be the "arrow"!!  It's drilled 2A from the sheet (pin below ring, CG a little R of center, RAD 'bout 1 1/2" R of thumb -- nice snap at the break.  I was thinking of picking up a Silver Streak Pearl, but for whatever reason the Apocalypse keeps popping into my head.  How would it compare to my X-Factor?

Nollster,

The Apoc is a blend, solid/pearl and comes 1500 polished but is very "tuneable".
It's longer 2.54 vs 2.52, and diffs are close, .055 vs. .058, so they'd be fairly close. The X factor and Apoc are both mild asymetricals, but the X factor is a pearl.

The Apoc is strong due to the cover and blend, especially if you scuff it a bid....mine is at 1000 smooth.

I haven't thrown an X factor so it's tough to say exactly, but they'd be fairly close in reaction.

Apoc is a nice long strong ball, great for carrydown!

That's pretty much what I was thinking...I know the stuff that's happening with the X-Factor is my fault, but I'm hoping the Apoc won't be so jumpy on the backend.  I'm never sure if it will make it back to the pocket or blow through the nose....

Nollster if you don't like the snap in the X try the Duece. Tossed my X after buying a Duece, I also have an Apoc nice combo.

I like the shape, was just getting too much over/under.  Had it scuffed last night and am finding out it's all me for sure.  I probably ought to stop bowling until I get this knee thing figured out...
