Actually I prefer "bigger balls" on house conditions specifically because most are so wet dry, and the bigger the ball, the better it blends that usually. I used a combo of Idol, Crux Prime, Phaze 2 (all lane shined) and Halo Pearl from 2nd-3rd arrow and averaged nearly 240 this season, and really could have used a Hyroad or Hustle Ink if I'd have wanted to. BUT with over/under to begin with, and the transition that balls like that create, plus just generally rough transition on house shots anyway, the bigger stuff really muted the effect of transition and allowed me to stay in the pocket the vast majority of the time. I used them lane shined as well so it wouldn't destroy my heads and mids, but still give me a good amount of control of the mids and backends. I bowled a whole lot smarter this year, not necessarily better, and it really showed.
