darn it i was wrong again
« on: March 08, 2008, 01:25:24 PM »
i hope i am not being premature andi dont really think i am ,but i had my cell redrilled and threw it the first time thursday . initially had it drilled pin under ring ,right of thumb at about 3 inches probably worked out to be 4 by one which for me was obviously way wrong,(dr rev and others ).now its pin over ring just about 4 inches from pap with the mb just right of thumb about a half inch.
When i throw it right,(yes i am taking some blame),this is a nice ball. Strong recovery and finish and not neeaaaaarrrrlllyyyyy the 10 pins i was leaving before. On the drier shot i bowled on thursday it didnt appear to be that strong ,but finish and carry were still good so i thought ok it is better. last night in league with fresh oil it was a monster. I hated to put it up . when the shot broke down i was really lost with it .not great numbers but good for me 237,212 with an open in the 10th then the lanes went bye bye and i was lost in the third game trying different balls just couldnt get a decent look. I should have used my pluto which i was also wrong about any way,if you are thinking about getting one make sure you take the time with a driller if you aree unsure to find out what it all about and what will work for you.drilling this ball weaker doesnt make it a weak ball . I.e i have slow speed with minimal revs a strong drill was no good, but this drill puts a strong useable ball in my hands not a weak strong ball. If you are in my bracket say 12 to 16 mph dont be afraid to go with a tamer drilling the ball hooks a ton and carry is pretty decent. I am not putting my odyssey down just quite yet though.
