Title: ball for dryer conditions

im looking to add a ball that i am missing, to my arsenal for dryer conditions. any suggestions. i want a ball for med dry to med. conditions. i do throw hard, and have med revs. thanks for your input.

For sure you want the Neptune. If you are working on a budget the Mercury can be picked up on ebay for about 40 before shipping.

Very easy to find a 16lb Roto Grip Mercury very cheap out there and would be perfect for the drier conditions.

Hammer Razyr, you can play right up the burn on medium oil and move in some when the lanes are dry.

A great ball for those is the Roto grip silver streak Special Edition

great ball plays a great line and hit a ton

NEPTUNE!!!! Long and strong.  it will get through the first 35 - 40 feet of the lane no prob, then BAM...it will hammer the pocket. Also if you want something even a little stronger, if you can find one...a MYSTIC...that ball is Nasty!!!  It is pearl particle so it is very snappy...but absolutely kills the pins when you get it down the lane!

don't be deceived! The Neptune is a good ball for drier conditions, but if you drill it strong, you will get a strong medium type ball.

Say...if you drill it simple label leverage you will get a ball that gets thru the heads clean, goes long....but then makes a strong move to the pocket, more like a medium ball.

In general, without knowing your style, speed, or rev rate, it would probably be safe to drill it pin under, when dealing with snappy backends.

This is a great piece, but you need to know the "look" you are going for before you drill it. It's best to consult with your regular driller as well.

neptune or pluto with a weak or negative drilling would be my opinion i use a neptune with a heg layout and i dont care how fried the lanes get i'm confident i can still stay off the head with it

The new Global 900 ball called the Link has a weaker coverstock and slightly
more core than Scouts, Tornados, and Power Grooves. Take a look at their website. It looks like a great dry lane ball. I have a Slate Blue Gargoyle and the urethane is hard to alter the surface.

I find my 5x5 drilled Neptune to be a bit strong for lighter oil.  It makes a strong move down lane.  Don't know if the Pluto even drileld weak would be a good option unless you have a cannon for an arm.  

I'd say a weak drilled Mercury might fit the bill.  You could always get the Golden Globe when it comes out.
