Ball just above my MCP?
« on: February 12, 2011, 03:21:21 PM »
Let me start by saying that i absolutely love my MCP, possibly my favorite ball of all time.  I do however see it struggle quite a bit on fresh oil(i typically bowl a 2nd shift league, only 1 league this year).  So im needing something a bit stronger, i dont typically like anything TOO rolly, but i did like my origional cell after i added a bit of polish to it.

I was considering a theory, but im not really needing anything for true heavy oil, as i literally never hit actual heavy oil.  Then i saw that the Infinite Theory was coming out in a few days and was wondering if anyone had any idea how much stronger it would be than the MCP, or how similar the reaction shape would be.

Any help would be great

Shawn

In the bag

Columbia Pure swing(pin under ring, 4.25" p2p, MB 75º, low hole)
Ebonite Mission(pin under bridge,5.25" p2p, MB 70º, low weight hole) polish over OOB
Storm Fast(pin under bridge, 5.25" p2p, low weight hole)
Storm Natural(pin over ring, 5" p2p)

Coming soon
high scores??

While I do not have any experience with either of those balls I will say the Theory is a whole lot stronger than anything in the Cell line so I would expect the Infinite Theory to be stronger than the MCP but I am not promising anything there.

The infinite should fit in just like virtual energy did..

My VE was strong than my MCP

This will be the closest thing we can get to a true hybrid cell (the infinite is 1 part solid and 2 parts pearl)
the rogue was the opposite ratio and was awesome, the hyroad was unbelievably good, im starting to dig my dagger (pics up soon)....and ive heard nothing but good things about the supreme..

I think the rising star is going to be killer as well

Roto-Grip and Storm hybrid equipment are legendary

You cant go wrong trying the infite, I love my theory

Hi.  I would suggest the Infinite Theory would fit above the MCP.  It doesn't have the same kind of skid/snap-like reaction of the MCP, but I've been able to use it on the fresh, whereas the MCP was never a good 1st game ball for me.  You just have to keep in mind that the Infinite Theory core is much more rolly and earlier than the MCP and thus will not have the same backend.  But the control it offers is where you benefit by being able to use it on the fresh.
Here are my videos of the Infinite Theory and MC Pearl.  You can compare my reaction to get a relative sense for what these two balls do.
