Title: ball selection help
Post by: toomanytenpins on September 03, 2007, 02:50:05 AM
i am pretty much sold on roto these days and having said that ,i was wondering what would be a good choice for a ball that would fall under my epic. something with the same move and hit when the lanes are drier so i dont have to play over the gutter cap with the epic. I have the battle and odyssey now. I tried the epic polished ,but I really didnt like it.

Too,
Have you talked to Roger N. at Roto? You could try a planet ball like the Venus,Saturn or Neptune and if you wanted the mid-performance go with the Horizon pearl. I've drilled both the Saturn and Neptune last season identical and the Neptune went a few feet further, but was a bit more angular. The Saturn could handle a little more oil and was a strong arc, but carried very well. I hope this helps, Bruce

I love my Venus the horizon is a great choice you can score them pretty cheap right know the mystic is all so a great ball. For what you describe the horizon or the mystic would be a good choice but for the money the planet line is amazing. Out of the planet line the Venus is my favorite.
