ball under the Critical

the Critical works great but mainly for the first two games - i struggle with it in game 3 - what would be a step under for the same re-action, but not as agressive? i guessing a Bandit? or maybe a Rising Star?

Given how aggressive the Critical Theory is,
I'd suggest either a lightly polished Outlaw or a polished Shooting Star.
Bandit and Rising Star can be rather sharp breaking on broken down conditions.
A lot depends on your ball speed/rev rate ratio and how the lanes break down.

+1.  The Rising Star can really be strong on burnt out lanes.  I've experienced that where I have to move left and throw right with a lot of speed in some cases to keep it from checking too early. 

If you like the Critical, you could go down to the Infinite Theory and adjust surface/use a weaker layout.  Best choices most likely are the Bandit or Outlaw.  Outlaw if you want more of a midlane read (solid cover) or the Bandit if you like skid/snap (pearl cover).

I have the Critical Theory, Infinite Theory, Shooting Star, Rising Star, [polished] Riot, and the Grenade. I really like

 

the Infinite Theory to go under my Crutical Theory and if its a little to dry for the Infinite Theory I will switch over the the [polished] Riot which is one of the best balls I have EVER relied on...

 

Roto Grip makes great stuff right now, probably kinda strong for a THS shot but what-the-heck!! :)
