A+++ Roto Tech. Support
« on: October 06, 2011, 10:29:31 AM »
I bought a NIB cell off ebay last year. Drilled it up april of this year, bowled two tournaments with it, and it cracked. I thought I was pretty much screwed n tattooed since I didnt get it direct from a pro shop. I sent Mike Sargent an email with pics and purchase invoice and he contacted me the same day and said a replacement will be not a problem. Thats a pretty surefire way to build loyalty and customer base during an economy where not much good happens for blue collar people. Just wanted to spread the word because I know not all companies these days are that understanding. Good stuff.

Mike Sargent and in the past, Victor Marion, are 2 A-One top shelf employees. Years ago a favorite Attitude Shift of mine cracked from the pin to the weight hole. Victor told me that Storm had discontinued that ball, but had me describe what I liked so much in the Attitude. We chatted for about 3-4 minutes and Victor suggested not only a newer ball with the same charactheristics but some potential lay-outs that might work and sent me the replacement even though he was probably not obligated to do so due to the age of the product.

Storm/RG is definitely the best to deal with.

Roto Grip also has a fantastic person inside as well in Roger N. who sometimes posts on here. A few years back Roto Grip came to the assistance of the NY State Volunteer Firemen who's main sponsor for their annual tournament bailed at the last second. Not only did they donate equipment, but assisted in many ways. In a short 3 weekends we had over 60 new Roto Grip balls in the bowlers arsenals!

Needless to say we converted many to Roto Fans!

Roger has also been very helpful to myself and others answering questions about equipment and layouts. A Great company, with great employees!

Yeah that sounds like the kind of stuff they'd step over and do for people. Around this town, we have a lot of unemployment right now, and those who scrape by trying to still be able to bowl dont have the cash to just order a new piece that very second if something unexpected happens. The majority around here throw Storm/Roto, so once I tell them my story, it'll encourage them to stay loyal for sure. See what a little bit of customer 'give a damn' does for a company? I know of many other companies that could use a brand-building seminar from these cats out in Utah.
