I'm currently thinking the Uproar for a dry lane fried up last ditch effort before breaking out the plastic kind of ball. I generally bowl on wood, and there's usually plenty of oil, but when they fry, I have an issue getting the ball to not hook before the 30 foot line, I currently have a Totally Defiant, 2 Defiants drilled differently, a Profit, Versa-Max, and a pursuit at my disposal. The Versa-Max has is my current last ditch effort ball, but it hooks to early when it's dry. I'm adding a Hyper Cell to the bag, and might have a chance to add a second ball.
Come January, I can see my 3-4-5 ball bag carrying:
Hyper Cell (Pin Up, thumb kicked out about 23-26 degrees)
Totally Defiant (Pin Up, thumb is kicked out 23 degrees)
Defiant (Pin out, Double thumb)
Uproar (Not sure, but talk with driller about drilling)
Crown
I'm not opposed to putting another brand in the bag, but so far, Roto has been pretty good off my hand. I was suggested a Wrecker, but am afraid that'll be too much ball for the spot I want to use it. I think the Deranged would be too much ball too. I could go something like a Blue Hammer or Natural. Most of all, I like the balls that go long, without TOO much early grabbing.
