Big gap in my arsenal
« on: April 13, 2005, 01:04:00 PM »
Well I sanded my freakazoid down some to like 2000 grit... doesn't really do what i'm looking for... My friend who has bowled forever and taught me to bowl think i try to find something of a medium ball... I just felt last night in league that i just have a big gap in my arsenal between my rule Gp2 and my Au79... I don't know what to feel it with... I need something good on medium volume long patterns... My friend has an Absolute that i threw which i like well... I just don't want to buy a ball drill it up and find out its not what i need.... any help would be great...
my stuff is on the bottom link...

A medium surfaced Silver Streak Solid would fill that gap in my opinion.  I would most certainly try to go with a solid reactive.

Weekly bowling league...$25
Pitcher of beer....$6
Taking a Lane#1 user's wallet with a ball that cost half as much....PRICELESS!!!
Some balls are overpriced....for everything else...theres RotoGrip.

Well since the Silver Streak solid is a rare find.... I would go with either the Super Sonic or the Retro Ressurection.  I have both of them and they are both good control pieces, their pics are in my profile if you wanna see how I got mine punched up.  There is one that looks as it is drilled for a lefty, well it sorta is, but I use it, its my special drill.

If I had to pick one, I would go with the Ressurection.  I find that the Super Sonic is a condition specific ball, if there are crisp backends this ball flips over like no other. Whereas the Ressurection is more even.  Both of the covers can be easily tweaked, but I find that the Super shines up a little better.  But if you go with either of the 2 I doubt that you will regret it.

The Au79 is a pretty strong ball...and obviously so is the GP2, ....I'd tend to lean toward an Oracle Vision and/or the new RSX to go in between that.....

Resurrection might work, ....but it may be close to the Au ...and the Super is below the Au....

I'd go w/ the Oracle Vision or the RSX
