Bought an Impact Theory
« on: October 23, 2013, 07:30:18 AM »
Found a steal on an Impact Theory last night on Ebay. $170 free shipping! So excited to get my hands on my first overseas release! I have wanted a critical for a while but never did anything about it and now they are impossible to find at a decent price so I can't wait to try this one out!

Very lucky.  Im happy for ya, I love the core/hook shape from that line...and I cant stand the defiant offerings.  One could say I am jealous!  I cant wait for the new line...whenever that is.
In the bag [Infinite Physix, Volatility Torque, Night Road, Phaze III, Burner Solid, Hustle AU]
*Now Testing* IQ Ruby, Renevant, another IQ Tour solid
Coming soon...???

I always wanted to know what the major differences were between US released and overseas balls.  Is it simply different coverstock offerings, or is it more color differences and marketing angles to cater to those specific regions?

Lucky indeed! Hopefully when the ball comes in I will still feel that way but the seller seems legit. I agree, the theory line always looked like it rolled so well and hit so hard!

I have been trying to figure out the same thing since I purchased this ball last night. It's so hard to find (english) information on overseas stuff. To the best of my knowledge the only difference I can find between the Impact and Critical (besides color) is that the Impact has an Insight PLUS cover (whatever that means) and is at 1500 polished OOB rather than the critical's 4000 abralon box finish. Does anyone have more information regarding this? I was also trying to figure out the difference between the Dark Theory and Impact Theory since from Roto's website, they seem to be the same. Is the Dark Theory the overseas version of the Infinite? I found a Dark Theory on Ebay as well and if it wasn't 16#, I probably would have both of them heading to my house as we speak haha.

If its the Ebay seller that I am thinking of (Omaha location), people will want to keep an eye on what they will be putting up for auction.  I picked up a Impact Theory as well (local sale) and I was able to see what international balls they had in their storage unit and all I could say was WOW.

International series equipment from my understanding are made for dry or drier lane conditions.
