Title: Cell got stolen!!!!!
Post by: strikecing on February 28, 2009, 02:21:11 PM: So a couple weeks ago after bowling the thrid ball in the 10th frame in my thursday night league I went to the bathroom and then stoped at the on the way back in the bar and had a drink and when I got back to my lanes my Roto Grip Cell was not to be found!!! SO make a long story short still have not found my ball... Well since then I have fallen in love with my Perfect Rival and Rapid Fire Pearl, but they dont pick up in the midd lane like my cell. Want to get something to take it place and am not against going to another ball or company. What do you think I should get?? Dimension, Wild Ride, Rogue Cell, Rattler, 2nd Dimension, NVD, Columbia, Morich??

If you are looking for the same reaction, obviously i would go with another cell. If you would like something a little different, the new rogue is a great compliment to what the original was/is.

The rogue does exactly what roto grip states it does...it creates as much friction as the original cell in the midlane with more "pop" off the dry.

The Dimension I would think would be the closest to a Cell as anything else you listed, but if you are looking for something else, I would want to try the Rogue or 2D.

Heck I want to try them all!

Anyways if you like the motion the cell gave you stick with the same company and get with the rouge cell.

Post by: Dan Belcher on March 01, 2009, 09:29:19 AM: If you want that same midlane reaction as the Cell, your only option really IS the Cell, or possibly a Rogue Cell with the surface dulled to the same level as the original Cell. The Dimension is close, but a touch longer. Anything else (NVD, Magic, etc.) might be just as strong, but it's going to be a very different reaction. Every time I've seen the Magic, it's been a couple feet longer than the Cell, and I've tried an NVD and it's much, much, much more angular than the Cell could ever dream of being. The Cell is a very unique reaction in today's ball market, it's hard to duplicate it without just getting the Cell itself. (And it isn't a surprise that my Cell is my get-out-of-jail-free card whenever I find a tough oil pattern!)
