Title: Cell Layout Issues
Post by: greenefam on May 13, 2008, 08:17:59 AM
All,

I have a pro-pin Cell with 3.84oz of top weight that I am trying to lay out for a friend.  I really wanted to lay this ball out for him at 5x3 - pin above - but when I weigh it out at this layout all the weight becomes side weight and I am going to have to put a pretty big weight hole just below his PAP (i need to take about 2oz out!).

So my question is this - should I just go for it and drill based on his need or lay the ball out more static (5x4 1/2 looks closer to 1oz side weight)?

Do your layout as you want.Check the sideweight. As long as it is 2 oz. or less, you should be able to get it out with a weight hole to legal.I wouldn't go over 2 oz,as you may not be able to get back under 1 oz. in my experience.

Green,

I completely agree with Pooh.  As long as it is only 2 oz you should be able to get the weight out.

Thanks,

No kidding - it took a 1 1/4" hole almost 3" deep.

I had my friend throw it a few minutes ago and after a couple of frames of adjusting he just couldn't miss.  This ball hits like a tank!

Ugly but effective.

Thanks guys.
