Bandits 1500 polished surface prep
« on: November 27, 2011, 07:30:41 AM »
Has storm/roto changed how they go about getting back to this finish, I though I had seen something about this a month or so ago. Also is storms step 2 polish still good even if it has been in heat and it is not as thick as before. Also what is the best way to touch up the polished surface every 9 to 12 games, can I just touch it up with step 2 polish or can I use some storm extra shine that I have.

Double post?  Well, I'll say it again...

Process is still:

1500-grit polished factory finish
1. 500-grit Abralon® pad – Sand for 15 seconds on all four sides.
2. Grey Scotch-Brite™ pad – Sand for 40 seconds on all four sides.
3. Storm® Step Two™ – Polish lightly for 15 seconds on two sides.
Storm® suggests repeating steps 2 and 3 from above every 20 to 30 games or repeating
all steps every 60 to 80 games.

I'm not sure how heat may affect the step 2 compound, but I would shake it up quite a bit.
