cell or kinetic energy???

Witch ball goes long and has alot of backend on house shots.

The Cell and the KE should probably be used on different oil patterns: Cell for medium heavy oil, the KE for mediums. If you used a KE on a pattern where the Cell works, unless you used a very different drilling or modified the coverstock or bowl on a house pattern where EVERY ball works, the KE will go 55 feet before making the turn.

If you try to use the Cell on a pattern where the KE works, the Cell will roll out at 35/40 feet, UNLESS you modify the cover or do some of the above.

I've seen some cells thrown on a 38 foot shot around here. I'm not too impressed. They don't roll out, but they sure don't have the hook as advertized.

I don't recall seeing "hook" advertised???
I do remember their advertising "continuation". I know it's smooth and even arcing, in general, and needs a good deal of oil.

Since it needs oil, if you're seeing small amounts of hook, it could be because people are not using it on enough oil to conserve energy or an incorrect drilling.

i dont know about the k e but i do have a cell .As far as it needing oil ,maybe its me ,but i have seen just the opposite. the last surface i tried was 400 grit and today i was shooting on a pretty broken down shot with dry outside 10 and thats where i had to get the ball for it to come back. if i kept it in the oil it wouldnt finish and it reacted off the dry unlike any medium heavy ball i have ever thrown. It was a very nice reaction ,but i was also throwing a polished nvs and the nvs was running through the nose. for me the jury is still out on whether or not the cell is for medium heavy or medium to light.

the reason your Cell won't hook is because you sanded it to 400 grit and then tried using it on a brokendown house shot, therefore your Cell is burning up and won't hook.  

Try taking your sell to 4000 grit and watch it hook from the dry boards.

I saw a few guys throw it on the shark pattern as well. Yes, the ball is continuous, but it doesn't seem to have the hook in oil that the Fury or LevRG has. I'm not saying its a bad ball, just saying that for heavy oilers there might be better choices. Of course, it could be drilling and such...

AGreed, for true heavy oil, the LevRG at 1000 grit was much better than the Cell at 2000 grit. I just found the LevRG at nowhere near as flexible or as versatile, ONCE IT IS DRILLED. Until it is drilled, you can do a lot with it, the same is true for the Cell, also a Mass Bias ball. I haven't tried the Cell at 1000 grit because I just don't see that much oil.

If people have high ball speed or lower revs, I can see them needing the LevRG. If they have  a lot of Average delivery traits, the Cell is THE winner.
Can't talk about the Fury; don't see anyone using it nor have I tried it.

One review, BTM or BJI, gave it a high hook number. I can understand that for someone with higher revs and not too much ball speed, but overall, I wouldn't call it a huge hooking ball.

Ner as I can tell, its strengths are versatility and area and targeting forgiveness with a higher than average hitting power. This combination for your average decent bowler (200 - 225) is highly desirable and very popular.
