Here is my experience with the rogue cell
When I first got my Rogue drilled I ran to the lanes and started throwing it. At first I was heartbroken it seemed dead. It had very little break and no drive, just seemed to “bump†into the pins and could never hit the pocket. I thought I had just wasted my money getting a ball that was junk. I have it drilled for length, pin above ring finger and the CG kicked out to the right side, so I thought maybe I had made a mistake in the drilling decision. I was talking to one of the guys who works at the center and showed him what I was talking about. He is a pretty good bowler and gave me a couple of pointers. Mainly change my grip on the ball. I was using kind of a sideways grip with my thumb always pointing near the 7 pin. He had me get my palm more under the ball and rotate at the bottom of the arc more, giving it more revs, and MAN did that ball come to life. I just needed to figure out how to fire up the engine and that thing and it started hooking into the pocket and crushing the pins, but keeping them low and creating a ton of pin action. I was hitting Brooklyn on a few throws and it still carried the whole rack. I stepped up in my starting stance and it dropped back in the pocket with ease. It has a lot of drive now and I am very happy with it. The Bowling center employee knows me there because we are in on nearly every weekend to practice. He offered to oil up a couple lanes with a fresh league shot so we could get a better idea of how it would perform on a league night. I am a 137 average bowler just starting out in league for the first time and I bowled a 175, a 176 then a 255 for a 606 series, which blows away anything I have ever done before. I can’t wait to see now if I can carry that performance over to regular league night, though I know I am in for a lot of trash talk about sandbagging if I do.
