Cell Pearl Layout?
« on: January 17, 2009, 12:49:32 AM »
I need help mapping out my Cell Pearl?  My PAP is 4 3/4 and 3/4 up.  I throwing it 17- 18 mph with a high rev rate.  The pin is 3 inches with 2.15 top and wants it to be a tournament ball.  Thanks

What types of patterns are you bowling on, and what other equipment do you have?

RotoBrook,

I have 2 Cell Pearls. One drilled 4x4 2.5 inch pin buffer with pin over ring. This ball is pretty erratic for me . I drilled the second one with the pin under ring 3.5 and the mb just past my VAL. I keep it at 4000 grit and this ball is phenomenal!!!!! You cant go wrong with this drilling. This ball is very versatile with this drilling. Good Luck

If you have a high rev rate, I would not drill it to strong. I went pin up 5x3 and I think it is way to condition specific, and now I am going to plug and redrill it. I would suggest 5 1/2 by 4 1/2 MB with the pin under fingers, to make it a little smoother for your tournament conditions.
