Suggestions for Epic Saga
« on: August 25, 2008, 04:33:46 AM »
I've got a 15 lb Epic Saga on order which has a 4 to 4 1/2 pin and a top wt of 3.8 oz.  Just looking for suggestions on a drilling layout for this ball.  I'm a stroker with a speed of 15 to 16 mph and a rev rate of 250 to 270.

Thanks for the suggestion Mark.  I just had the Saga drilled up strong as you described and I'm going to go out and give it a roll tomorrow.  My Thursday night league is usually a medium oil pattern about 39' so I'm anxious to see how it performs.

Mark this is the exact layout that I have on my SAGA and I am in love with it.  I did have to make a subtle cover adjustment, I hit it lightly with a 2000 abralon to take some of the snap off the back and give me a little more control, but it still spins up quickly on friction and makes a strong move to the pocket.  I hope that that yeehayashi likes it as much as I do

Guys, I didn't have a chance to roll my Saga last weekend.  I'm going to give it a go tonight or tomorrow.  I'm looking forward to giving it a good ride.  I'll post my comments for y'all then.  Thanks, Spence

Got to use my Saga last night in league and rolled a 635 series.  The lanes were light to medium oil THS condition.  This ball got through the heads cleanly.  When it reached the drier backend, it made a strong angular move to drive through the pocket. Love my Saga.  The Saga is going to be the first ball out of my bag for now.  Thanks to Mark for his suggested layout!
