Sorry i didnt get back to you guys sooner...
Now as far as the Cell Pearl/Grand Illusion comparison...boy do these balls COMPLEMENT each other nicely...here is an example, friday night i start off with the cell pearl, and it was absolutely going sideways off the end of the pattern (Seemed like there was a little more free hook right than normal) so rather than move in deeper and bank it off the dry which would most likely cut down my margin for error, i moved two boards right with my feet and switched to the grand illusion, after one pitch out, i then proceeded to rattle off the next 17 strikes...
Total hook between these two pieces could overlap on certain conditions, BUT the way they get to the pins is very different...the cell pearl gives me a strong, more angular move, while the grand illusion gives me a smoother, earlier more even look...so basicly when one doesnt work, or isint reading the lane the way i like, the other one does...
Between the Cell, Cell Pearl and Grand Illusion i really feel you can cover all but extreme dry/light oil patterns...
I have also had a few people ask me how this ball compares to a gravity shift...for me, the cell pearl is cleaner through the heads and midlane with a stronger move in the backend...i also feel it handles oil better in the backend than the gravity shift, my Gravity has a tendancy to get a little squirty when oil gets downlane, where as the cell pearl handles carrydown exceptionally well for a polished pearl...
hope that helps guys
