Title: Cell put to good use
Post by: jensm on April 11, 2008, 05:06:33 AM
Swedish international Martin Larsen rolled 1603 for six in ongoing Istanbul Open on Thursday.

Translated from Martin's homepage www.martinlarsen.se:

"Started out with my Break and put together 242 in the first game. After going nine spare in the first three frames of the second game, I switched to my Cell. Then I had 32 of 33 possible strikes. [...] After the fourth game I moved to the pair that I'd had some problems on. Changed back to the Break and moved further inside. Struck out from six and got a 234!!! That meant I had 1324 after 5 and a chance at breaking Robban's amazing 1616 record!! He watched from behind and I think I made him sweat a bit because I started with the front nine!!! Alas, I left the ten pin in the last frame for a 279 final game. 242, 268, 280, 300, 234, 279 for 1603 is a new personal record!!! No more squads for me before the finals on Sunday. Feeling PRETTY pleased right now!!!"
