Cell question
« on: March 06, 2008, 02:19:09 AM »
Last night was my first night throwing the Cell.  After two games, it seemed to have a significant track in ball.  Has anyone experienced this?

Thanks,
Jeff

I have over 30 games on my Cell with no track in the shell.  You might be looking at the dirt and oil rings on your track, but that is not the track like scratchs and wear marks on the ball.  This shell is extremely durable and thus does not track up as easy as older shells.  It does need quite a bit of maintenance though.

I know what track is...that is why I posted, I had not heard of such a thing w/ this ball.

I will take the track out and see if it was just the pair I was on last night.

Thanks Roto for the reply.

I was going to say that it could've just been the lane surface.  Golden Pin Lanes in Tucson is that way, I bowl in a 4 game scratch league over there and when I'm done, the ball looks like I haven't polished it all season.  I have to hit it with an abralon pad on a spinner and repolish it every week.  It doesn't matter what ball I use there (Storm, Ebonite, Columbia, L/LM), they all do the same thing.  Thank goodness they're finally putting in new panels, scoring machines, etc. in a couple of months.

I am guessing it was the pair I was on, but, wanted to make sure no one else had similar experiences.

For some reason I think the last time I bowled on that pair I ended up have to resurface my Fury, or should I say started.  I took it to 120, baked it and that is as far as I got.  I got playing with others and forgot about it.
