Cell vs. BuzzBOMB
« on: May 15, 2008, 06:02:54 AM »
I'm sick of the questions so here are the videos for each. Same bowler, same pattern only slight drilling difference. The Cell is more and has more area when comparing these videos. See for yourself.

BuzzBOMB

Cell

Also, seriously, lane 1 guys this is not an attack on you guys. The BuzzBOMB is a good ball. I'm just showing that the Cell is better for less money. No offense but it is the best ball out there and there will not be another that changes everything so much for many years.

So they are. I was just looking at their appearance. They look alike. Sorry about that. And they have almost exactly the same game.

The buzz looks lazy in the backend compared to the cell.

Clearly different variables. Certainly different bowlers, but more important, look at the different lines they're throwing. The Cell is jacked out to the dry boards, while the BuzzBomb is consistently kept further inside the oil.

Bottom line: The comparison is complete apples-and-oranges. Although all the puff aside, the balls have more similarities than differences.

Locke, the Cell is a very good ball, but your 'pimpness' is bleeding through. Nice try though.

Saw that coming... This was purely a post because we have been getting a large number of people asking about the differences. I know for a fact the Cell can not play the line the Buzz was playing on a THS. I have tried and all you end up with is brooklyn and headpin.

I am trading my cell in for a buzzbomb next week.  I think I just have a bad drill on it.  I will post a review in a couple weeks or as soon as I can get to Phoenix to get it.

Because the BB is not only finished at 1000 grit vs the Cell's 2000 grit, it is also meant for slightly heavier oil. Throw them both at the same grit level and they'd be closer not sure how close they'd be.

I look at both videos and I notice that both were played at different angles to the pocket. The Cell farther right than the BuzzBomb.
I hate ten pins but love the game of bowling with just the right ball to take them out.

Watch the Cell video again. If he can keep the Cell in the pocket even with bouncing it off the drier outside boards, he'll certainly be able to play in the heavier inside oil where the BuzzBomb was thrown.

it dose no one any good showing these balls on a house shot.but IMO the Buzzbomb looks like a better ball for a heavy flat pattern.the cell looks good for a med-heavy house shot.for the price the cell looks prety good to me though.

The  videos show the BuzzBOMB playing about 10 boards further left(sliding left gutter compared to roughly 28 board) with his feet and about 5 boards further in the oil(20 board compared to 15) at the arrows.

You are correct, the Cell can't play the same line (deeper in the oil) as the BuzzBOMB on a THS. But if you tried to get in as deep with the Cell, you wouldn't be going brooklyn, you'd being going WASHOUT..!! =:^D

Brought this in from a thread over at www.bowlingballexchange.com Thought it was relevant info for this thread... =:^D

Re: 2nd Saudi International Tournament
That's why I wanted to get the BuzzBomb shipment going before this tournament starts, I knew it will sell. I actually gave everyone who bought the BB a deal that if they did not like it, I would buy it back from them and some of them came back to drill another one

some tried the cell first but it was not strong enough and ended up drilling and using the BB.

Rick Benoit, who is a Brunswick staff, was present before the tourney starts as a coach and a driller ( http://www.bowlingfans.com/tips/rick.shtml) He was impressed by the BB performance and helped alot in the layout based on the track and the PAP of the bowlers. This guy knows how to drill.

btw, don't forget my jacket

Why all the horror stories about the Lane#1 ball...
but very little hate towards the Cell..

1. My above post should clear that up.
2. Horror stories are made up from haters.
3. Lane 1 users don't hate. =:^D
