Horizon Solid
« on: October 25, 2006, 08:58:20 PM »
Just got mine delivered and was checking it out. The cover stock almost looks like a sanded pearl, anyone else notice this? If you have not wipe it with a wet paper towel it stands out even more. I realize looks can be deceiving, mine really looks like a hybrid cover interesting.

Roto Mab:

I have one like this also, but I will say I don't see any apprecable change in performance between the other two I have.  Although I guess you could assume it will go longer and get over a little harder because of the pearl look, I'm not seeing that in ball reaction to date.  My recommendation, drill it like you have planned and have fun with it.

I noticed that if you look very closely you can see areas of, sort or bronzy pearl... after i try it out and get a video made in box condition i miht try polishing it!

After drilling 12 of these, i have say this ball is down right booty-licious! i don't have a hot girl making videos to promote the balls like Nick smith but lol it's a good looker. and she strikes from all angles.

I have one, I'm gonna slap my favorite assymetrical layout on it and hopefully be able to finally get something to recover from inside 3rd arrow.

Cool story - I drilled one of these for a retired guy that wanted an upgrade from some 10 year old Zone that I can't remember the name of.  Touched the surface with light polish because of his soft speed and thought I went too far.  2nd game out shot the number and it was his first 300 since 1972!!  Initially I was sad because I thought he did it in an un-certified sr. league, but then found out it was in a local morning league that is certified.  I had 3 guys call me within two days to ask me if that ball would be good for them.
