It isn't often that I say this....but I disagree a bit with Charlest on this post.
I never rolled a Nomad that fit me, but did and do still own a Silver Streak solid. Same core but weaker coverstock.
http://www.bowlersparadise.com/shop/balls/roto_grip/roto_grip_nomad_solid.shtmlI also now own a Rising Star, a Tropical Heat Solid, and a 900 global Hook Blue/Blue.
I find the balls listed to be similar but less than the Silver Streak and I would guess less than the stronger coverstocked Nomad.
With specs of 2.55 and a diff of .054 and the smooth Suregrip the Silver Streak is a great ball but a ball for medium heavy oil.
The other balls are listed above are mostly in the 2.57 and .038 to .040 diff area. with admittedly stronger coverstocks. They are all great balls just a different look.
Most of the balls listed by Charlest for the same bowler are going to produce near close to an inch less flare than the Nomad if drilled in a 4 1/2 inch position.
As a big fan of smooth and powerful Suregrip coverstock(I love my Sonic Boom(Suregrip 2) and Sonic X solid(Sure grip) I consider these newer balls maybe similar but different. The newer listed balls above not quite as core strong and the Nomad more core strength and a similar strength coverstock.
I wonder if maybe the Disturbed is closer?
Hmmmm?
For yours and Charlest consideration.

PS my Nomad and Nomad pearl continue to wait for me in my garage, My Silver Streak may get another run based on the discussion above for my medium to lighter condition wet dry(only 35 feet to start!)
