Has anyone thrown both the Trick and the IQ Tour , other than surface #s look pretty close, I throw 16. Any input is appreciated. Billdozer has about got me sold on the IQ Tour ;) still .... Thanks in advance

Trick has a stronger cover.
That said, I currently have 3 IQ Tours in my bag for my summer sport league, so you can guess which way I'd lean.

You may want to consider a Hammer Rebel Solid.
Proven NBT solid coverstock. DDT Reckless cover is a bit stronger, which for me isn't a good thing. If I need a ball with a stronger cover, I go to my Haywire.
I had great luck with the NBT cover in the past and I find the current version on the Rebel Solid very versatile. Does it live up to the legend of the "IQ Tour"? I don't know. But for me, the Rebel Solid is better than my IQ Tour as a benchmark ball.

DDT is a stronger ball across the board. More core and more cover. Still a very even rolling ball that is easy to watch and figure out what the lanes are doing. Both are benchmark type balls, but IQ Tour will not work in as much volume of oil as DDT, so that decision will have to be yours.
I have two IQT and one (so far) DDT, IQT is easier to get through the fronts.

DDT is a stronger tour...More ability to handle the fronts, more midlane, and a bigger move off the spot.
Very good 1 two punch.
At Nationals my DDT cut through what was an out of bounds for the tour...Put it that way

Sounds good. Thank you all :) Billdozer how is your Trick drilled?

I've had 3 IQ Tours and no DDT yet. However, I have thrown both, and the Trick read more front to back. My low VAL Tours (pin up) allowed me to go a little left to right when the shot allowed it. The pin down Tour (higher val) I had to play it much more in front of me (better on the fresh playing straighter).

I don't have a lot of games on my DD Trick, but it's definitely a much stronger cover and for me is slower response than the R2S cover on the IQ Tour. Not as slow response as a haywire, which didn't match up for me, but as many have said just a much stronger version of the IQ with a better continuation dowlane. As much as I like the IQ Tour, when you need to open your angles in the front it really struggles to make the corner and go through the pins unless you have a 450+ rev rate. I don't have an IQ Tour anymore because my 350-375 rev rate combined with the heavier oils makes it very conditional.

I'm the real-life version of Keanu Revs so...........I can make them all turn the corner...... :P :P :P :P :P
In reality, I have Nationals fast approaching so I'm sure I'll find out the true nature of my 4" pin-to-pap IQ Tour at 2000 abralon.
-
I really like a 2-2.5" pin GameBreaker 2 with surface on super flat patterns and just try to keep it in front of you. Don't try to over score the condition and make spares.

My 5" p2p (hole down VAL) IQ Tour helped me to a 700 series at the BJ and turned my Doubles/Singles set around at nationals (started slow trying to use a stronger ball).
I also have a 5" p2p no hole IQ Tour that was useless out there (other the 40 frame game).

Trick is now ordered :) Thank you everyone

If I wasn't a Visionary guy, the Dare Devil Trick would be the first ball in my bag and then out of the bag every league night. I have seen it in the hands of guys that go straight and the ball is strong enough to pick up a heavy roll and carry well and for the guys with hands, the ball can still wheel on the backend and carry.

I am proud to say I have both. If there was a bowling survival pack, the IQ Tour would be in it. It gives you roll and control which makes it a must have if you bowl tournaments. As far as the Trick goes, I agree with others that describe it as an IQT on steroids. If you like one you'll like the other.

I might still get an IQ tour one day ;) but right now my DD Trick and DD offer a nice 1-2 punch on most house conditions. Just gotta quit being stubborn and switch or adjust my line when the lanes tell me :)

I'm not sure there's really a reason anymore. I think the IQ Tour is surviving on reputation alone, I don't see the effectiveness anymore. I just recently drilled another one up and never get the chance to use it because something else is better on everything I see.
