Title: Defiant Edge First Impressions
Post by: themagician on June 18, 2012, 12:37:30 PM
I fortunately received a Defiant Edge early through a facebook contest and just drilled it up. Can't say a whole lot because I only bowled a few games with it so far but it definitely is a strong rolling ball. In comparison to a Hy-Road with the same layout I had to move 5 left with my feet and 3 left with my target at the arrows to get to the pocket with the Defiant Edge on a slightly tweaked house shot (one of the Kegel Challenge Series Patterns).

This ball really reminds me of the Cell Pearl in shape, just stronger overall. I'll add pictures later and if I get out to practice again this week i'll shoot some video.

Bowled against a staffer last night throwing it on the 2012 Bowlers Journal pattern on wood. It was very clean through the front and pretty angular for a Roto ball from what i observed

Heres a link to some video I shot this morning with it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tGNpFTe9Zvc

I haven't had a chance to bowl much at all lately so I was spraying the ball like a garden hose in the video lol. Ball rolls really well and it is quite a bit stronger than I had expected, but that is by no means a complaint.
