My own experience,  infitlnite theory would be the answer, strongest flip to date for me.  The critical should provide a higher entry angle...according to the ad sheet.

my arsenal..

Cell Pearl was discontinued.  I second the Infinite Theory- you get the best of pearl in length/backend but get the midlane of a solid to prevent over/under.  The Critical Theory looks to be an interesting release rounding out the line.  I say interesting because it's the first pearl ball in a while that I have seen come out with 4000 grit Abralon/no polish as the finish.  Even the Mutant Cell Pearl came 1500/polished.

My arsenal

Heavy Oil: Storm Virtual Gravity Nano: 2000 AB
Medium-Heavy Oil: Storm Anarchy: 1500 polished
Medium Oil: Roto Grip Nomad Dagger: 1500 polished

Medium-Light Oil: Roto Grip Rising Star: 1500 polished

Agree, although the Mutant Cell Pearl is far from a heavy oil ball.
To the OP, frankly, I'd be hard-pressed to say there's any "heavy oil" pearl ball, unless you took them down to 2000 or lower grit.  A polished finish and heavy oil don't go together.  So far, every pearlized ball with the big "high end" cores have been no more than medium oil balls, e.g., Mutant Cell Pearl, Anarchy.
However, like I said, you can dull the surface quite a bit and get a potentially decent look in medium-heavy conditions.  Without that, they tend to be way too over/under.

For sure not the Cell Pearl, nice ball, but needs dry to perform.

I use my Mutant Cell Pearl for most longer Sport shots and it works just fine. Not a heavy oil ball, but a very nice piece nonetheless.

I have drilled 2 Infinite ThEoRyS and both have been incredible at making the turn, one was drilled 55 x 4 x 40 pin up and 60 x 3 3/8 x 20 pin up, just when you think the ball will not make any kind of motion, BAM--- it turns the corner. The numbers I see on the Critical ThEoRy will start hooking earlier and not as hard...

My Criticals were shipped today... So my ball reviews will be out shortly...

Thanks Rick -  I am curious about your drilling choices for the Infinite Theory (55 x 4 x 40 pin up and 60 x 3 3/8 x 20 pin up) .  Can you give me a little more feedback?

I know the first angle (MB to PAP) dictates how early the ball breaks (10 degrees earliest roll and 90 degrees latest roll).  And, I know the last angle (PAP to VAL) dictates how quick the ball transitions at breakpoint (20 degrees quickest and 70 degrees slowest).

Here are my questions:

What effect does the Pin to PAP have?  I know it relates to flare potential but I don't understand what exactly it does.

Why did you choose a dual angle drilling on an asymmetric ball versus the PSA drilling layout technique that Rotogrip puts out with this ball (i.e. 4 x 4 x 2)?    Do you know how how your dual angles translate to this drilling layout technique?

Do you feel like you have better control over the ball's performance using the dual angle technique?

Be sure to drop me a PM when you have thrown the Critical Theory.

Thanks
