Differences between the Outlaw and Track 919C
« on: October 23, 2012, 06:53:02 PM »
Has anyone thrown both of these?  If so, how do these compare?  I was wondering if the Outlaw would be capable of replacing the 919C.  Or, would it be better slotted below my Hy-Road (where my 505T is now)?

Right now, I usually go Defiant > Rogue Cell > 919C > Hy-Road > 505T.   I've been thinking of switching my EBI stuff all to all RG and Storm as of late.

Do you actually see enough oil to warrant a ball in that spot? Is there a big difference between your Rogue and the Hyroad?

Most weeks, the primary house I bowl at will have a noticeable difference to warrant a ball between.  Most times this season, the Defiant and the Rogue Cell are not usable because they're too strong for the 40 ft shot.

The Hy-Road most times doesn't read the spot that well in the first game because of length.  Once the pattern breaks down, the Hy-Road becomes my go-to ball.  That is why the 919C has been used most weeks to start because of the earlier midlane read.

The second house I bowl at usually sees the Defiant/Rogue Cell come out as the 2 primary balls due to having very heavy oil up front on the fresh 43ft shot.  From there, I normally go to the 919C and then sometimes the Hy-Road.

Now, I could experiment with some surfaces on the Hy-Road.  But, I did want to see if the Outlaw could potentially fill the spot of the 919C if I were to go that route.

Since the Outlaw has been discontinued, I would look at the Berserk as the ball you should get. It has a hybrid cover and same core as the Outlaw. The Berserk shines most of the time on most "ths" shots that I bowl on. The three balls that I use the most are my Berserk, Defiant Edge and my Critical Theory. I highly recommend getting the Berserk. I am sorry but I cant compare any of these balls to the 919C because I don't have one and have not thrown it.

I appreciate your suggestion.  1 reason I thought about the Outlaw is that I can pick up a single drill for a good price.  On the other hand, the RG/Storm hybrids have matched up with me really well.

How would the Berserk compare to the Hy-Road?

If you really like the hybrid offerings from Storm and Roto, try a Berserk or Crossroad but take the shine off of the ball so it will read the lane sooner with a stronger layout

The Berserk comes OOB with a dull finish.

Just love my Outlaw! I am able to use it on many PBA and other sport patterns! Wish that it was still available.  Have not thrown the Track piece.
Roto Storm all the way!!

I decided to pick up a single drill Outlaw on here.  Soon, I'll find out how it compares.
