Hustle comparison
« on: February 13, 2020, 01:43:10 PM »
Does anyone know how the Hustle would compare with the Ebonite Turbo/R or the Storm Tropical Surge?  I'm looking at the Hustle AU and the HSB.

According to the specs. it would appear that both of them would be weaker than the Turbo/R but maybe a little stronger than the Surge.

Thanks for the help.

The Hustle balls are noticeably stronger than the Tropicals. Especially the HSB. That is not really a low volume/length ball. No idea about the Turbo/R.

All the balls you mention are sensitive to oil and can become over/under very easily.

Have you considered a Hustle INK?  The HSB looks good in my partners arsenal but he has less tilt than I do.  I see all the people with Au's getting rid of them .... big time over/under.

The Tropicals are decent, but get a hybrid if you go that route.  They are less ball than the Hustles.  Reactor coverstock is clean and reacts to friction well.  It would be the longest and most sideways ball of the bunch.

Thanks for the reply.  I thought I heard that the INK had been discontinued but I'll look into it.  Right now I'm at a loss and may consider the Brunswick Twist.  I understand that's it's supposed to be a step above plastic, but I've never seen one where I bowl.

Thanks again.
